I've really enjoyed my time with this game so far and I'm excited to play more of it! I'm always looking for games that are "like" Stardew Valley, and so few of them actually give me the same vibe that I'm looking for -- but this one does. It's a smaller world than that game, but definitely an interesting world. It also has its own original ideas and innovations that make gameplay refreshing for this genre. Instead of only traditional farm animals, there's a variety of different real-life animals as well as fantasy animals. I don't even want to list the types of animals because part of the fun is finding a new one in the wild and learning how to care for it and persuade it to live on your ranch. It's an exciting feeling to spot a creature you haven't seen before, in-game or ever! Gameplay emphasizes animal care, but also includes farming, fishing, exploring, designing your ranch, befriending NPCs and participating in the community (including community events). It has a karma system that I love, which encourages you to help other villagers! I enjoy the balance of time and things to do; I've played similar games where I felt bored too quickly, but here, I'm always motivated with something to do the next game day. I really like the whole "vibe" of the game. The art and music are charming and peaceful, and interacting with your animals is so cute! If you like cozy, relaxing games, I recommend this one. To be honest, I'm often nervous about early access games, but I really appreciate how often the game is updated and how responsive the developer is. It controls well and I have not run into noticeable bugs. I'm already happy with this purchase, as-is, but I'm also confident it will keep growing and improving as a game!

A very unique farming game thanks to the terraforming tool. For now, there's already quite a bit of content. The dev is still actively trying to add more stuff.
This game is wonderful! The animals are cute, the overall designs are adorable. I really enjoy the fact that instead of everyone wanting you to grow crops to get the farm up and functional, these town's people want you to fill your farm with animals! You don't just get basic livestock, you also get to tame wild animals! I like that you get to transform the terrain on your farm to suit which animals you pick. There is so much potential for this game and the developer is constantly working to add more content to the game. The most important part in my opinion is that the Developer is so nice and fixes any kind of problem you face right away. I haven't encountered many bugs but the one i did, he fixed right away. The Dev put his heart and soul into the game and i cannot wait to see this game grow as big as the others.
Really enjoying this so far. I've been a fan of the farming/RPG style games since Harvest moon BTN and this feels more like that than more recent releases like Stardew Valley, I mean that in a good way. There's a healthy amount of grind, i'm at around 7 hours, have just finished spring of the first year, and this is broken up nicely with plenty of interesting characters/events/upgrades. The 'ranching' element adds a nice twist, think viva pinata style garden requirements to attract animals, this adds a tonne of variety. Being early access, I've found the occasional bug but nothing that has actually broken the game. The dev is very active in the Discord though and some of my issues have been fixed same day! I usually expect about an hour of entertainment per £ spent on a game so this has already surpassed that and I plan to keep playing for a long while. The roadmap looks good too, expecting some new content over the coming months to get stuck into, I'm excited to see what gets added.
Tales of Autumn is a cute and relaxing farming sim that's centered around the care and collection of animals. So not only do you get to keep regular farm animals but also wild ones which you attract by changing the terrain on your ranch. The villagers are a lovely diverse bunch who actually visit your ranch from time to time and also invite you to take part in the festivals, making you feel like a part of the community. Like most farming sims, you get to fish, mine, forage, mine, craft items and complete quests for the villagers, so new and long time fans of the genre will feel right at home with the game. The developer is very friendly, receptive to feedback and quick to fix issues. With them at the helm, the game is guaranteed to keep getting better!
I’m not that far in, but I really like the creature designs I've seen so far! I’ve only got a jackalope but the other animals I’ve seen in the forest are very cute! The terrain changing is a cool design. I’m excited to see where the game goes!
First time I’ve seen a game where the cows tell you when they need milking! Finally!
Very cute little farming game <3 reminds me of littlewood and stardew valley 10/10 for sure!
As some other reviews have said, this is a farming game closer to the older Harvest Moons rather than the ease of Stardew valley, with some unique features chucked in. I love all the animals you can find, and it’s cool to have the regular animals mixing with fantasy ones There’s a lot already here for early access, and I’m excited to see all the roadmap content the developer has planned!
Really fun, I love the library scene!
