Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
I have mixed feelings about this game. I love it and have spent countless hours with it, yet I can't shake the feeling that it falls just short of its full potential. At its best, it delivers some of the most exciting fantasy strategy gameplay available. Few games can match the thrill of commanding dragons, hydras, giant monsters, and other fantastical creatures on a massive battlefield. The fantasy setting is both a strength and a weakness. The sheer variety of units makes battles spectacular, but it also creates a steep learning curve. In historical strategy games, most players intuitively understand the roles of spearmen, cavalry, and archers. Here, understanding whether an axe-swinging dwarf, a flamethrower-wielding rat, a giant wheel of death or a flying monster is effective in a given situation often requires experience and experimentation. This can make evaluating army strength and deciding when to engage an enemy surprisingly difficult, especially for newer players. The campaign layer offers tremendous strategic depth. Every faction plays differently, encouraging exploration and experimentation with new mechanics, economies, and army compositions. The game constantly presents meaningful decisions, and managing a large empire can become an incredibly complex puzzle. Sometimes that complexity borders on overwhelming, but it also creates a rewarding experience for players who enjoy mastering intricate systems. My biggest criticism is the pacing on higher difficulties. Because automatic battle results are often unfavorable, many engagements must be played manually. Since campaigns involve a huge number of battles, this can significantly slow progress on the strategic map. Over time, fighting similar armies repeatedly can become repetitive, especially when the outcome is already fairly obvious. Despite its flaws, the game strikes an impressive balance between grand strategy and tactical combat. The combination of empire management, faction diversity, and large-scale fantasy warfare creates an experience that few strategy games can rival. While it may not fully realize all of its ambitions, it remains one of the most engaging and ambitious fantasy strategy games out there.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Something I decided to do was follow suite of an idea that somebody I saw on Facebook has done, considering I've had well over 100 games on my Steam account and never touched a good chunk of them: 1. Spin a wheel 2. Whatever game it lands on, I must play for an hour and give an honest review of the game. This one definitely is a lot of fun, as it reminds me a lot of Civ 6 and XCOM 2. I like the battle mechanics and the game (from what I got accomplished in 1 hour of time) was very straightforward and easy to understand. This game is definitely one I can see myself revisiting and continuing my campaign on. I think it definitely has a lot of replay potential considering at the base game, you have multiple characters and factions to play as. Great game; I'd easily recommend this to anyone who enjoys strategy games.
An amazing time killer. I love proving the A.I. wrong by turning defeats into victories. High elves is the only faction i play.
This game at first appears as though you will be enjoying engaging in battles and playing as numerous different races/factions, but infact the game is very slow, the battles are few and far between and the tutorial forces you to play as human without the choice of any more interesting faction/race. The tutorial itself is very poor at explaining the game as well. I made the mistake of purchasing an expensive gaming system solely to play this game. Now im beyond regretful.
This is probably my favourite Total War, it is definately up there with Shogun 2, Medieval and Nopolean which were my favourites. Medieval and Napolean may have been better but TBH it was such a long time ago I can only go off the nostalgia but I enjoyed the ♥♥♥♥ out of all of them. If you value gameplay this is the Warhammer to get, if you want gold covered and diamond studded ♥♥♥♥ then get Warhammer 3.
I don't know why but this game just keeps getting worse and worse. At this point I'm right clicking on enemy units while having my units selected to attack, only to have a giant red arrow point straight back to my own starting area. It's great fun watching half of my units attack my empty spawn. I bet a "improved enemy AI DLC" is in the works or something.
Obsolete now due to the 3rd game. This has the same problem the 3rd game has. Horrible balancing across the board, too many DLCs priced way too high that don't offer enough gameplay to be worth it, and CA being CA and not caring about players' desires in favor of churning out slop to appease the shareholders. Don't buy or else you'll go broke getting all 3 games and the DLCs just to try to enjoy the game.
