Total War: ROME REMASTERED lets you relive the legacy that defined the award-winning strategy game series. Remastered to 4K with multiple improvements to visuals as well as refinements to gameplay, it’s time to revisit a true classic. Not everyone gets a second chance to conquer the Roman Empire.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Aug 16 → 5.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I have lots of nice memories from Rome: Total War. I spent hundreds of hours playing it as a child and loved it to no end. Since the remaster was on deep sale, and despite the mixed reviews, I thought I’d purchase it because it couldn’t be worse than the original, right? That game is 22 years old! Even if they had just tweaked the visuals a bit and added some minor quality-of-life improvements, I would have been totally happy with that. However, that’s not the case! I don’t mind the worse UI and the ugly look, (why does it look so bad anw?!), but I just can’t stand how buggy and poorly functional this game is. I just want to play a simple Alexander the Great campaign, and it crashes constantly.
Bought it for nostalgic reasons obviously, but it's still a very addictive game. Totally forget the time when playing, and it's still a lot of fun. Although hoped they expanded some stuff, like the family trees and the city management system, but it's good enough to play 1 or 2 full playthroughs!
Buggy, but still one of my all time favorite games. The remastered graphics are nice, and this version avoids the errors that occur with the original game (crashes due to poor compatibility with modern PC specs). This is my third time buying this game, and I will always recommend it.
Great game, gameplay holds up incredibly well. I'm hoping Med3 forgoes the "Arcade" vibe that other recent TW games have
Very enjoyable when it is not being even more stupid than the original. Head on spears beat swords; pikes beat spears. Doesn't matter if you are ruddy Spartans, attack a pike phalanx head on you will lose. Why? You can't close the enemy. Charging pikes blockng a street with cav head on, you all die. Daftest thing is all this comes up in the tips and advice, the same as twenty five years ago! None of this takes a lot to fix; there must be half a dozen mods to the original that sorted all this out fifteen years and then some ago. I like TW:R a lot; even this crap-shoot is better than Rome II; but Feral really are taking the mick when all they had to do was listen to the game's advice or better yet: crib off the modders. Ridicullous. I reckon the devs should fall on their swords like good Romans.
Pretty much the same game as the original, with updated graphics but downgraded UI. 1/10 Points.
