Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

It is not hard to see why this is widely considered to be the worst historical Total War game. First off the campaign. Diplomacy is pretty much out the window from the very beginning. Everyone, including your allies will declare war on you soon If they don't just wait for the backstab and learn the hard way. At the same time the AI refuses to garrison provinces in a reliabel way allowing you to steam roll entire empires with auto resolve. This also exposes the bad "free" garrison system that are just way too weak. Gettinga any agreement with AI nations via diplomacy is near impossible to achieve even with positive opinion. The biggest flaw is that entire great nations can be wiped out very quickly by capturing their single (!) home province in Europe. Trade knodes are a nice touch but AI nations will always know where your fleets are and hunt them down, so good luck on earning even a few turns of trade income there. The overall balancing is abhorrent and given the cost constraints it is far more lucrative to focus on one map portion rather than several of them at once e.g. give up on the Americas, focus Europe getting rid off your neighbours and then return at a later point. The battles are the worst. Impassable terrain portions, horrific pathfinding, units freezing in places and/or bugging out, garbage AI that just charges in or bugs out, artillery units being a mess to handle in every way from packing up, setting up, friendly fire etc.. They also removed the "weight" of units with this engine meaning charges feel weak and hutning down enemies is clunky. "Balanced" armies are not worth a damn. Just hire droves of line infantry. Optimal firepower, anti-cav in square formation and you can just charge artillery in melee (this also extends to the campaign map). The AI will also bug out in an almost reliable manner e.g. the enemy sallies out but remains inside their fort forcing you to assault or besieging armies just stay in the distance and you have to leave safety to attack them. There are also changes to the HUD and UI for the worse and it just is not reliable. Worst of all, the game is (still) poorly optimized. Your save games WILL corrupt past a certain turn due to it being 32bit. No idea, how they could not fix this, since most devs or communities can create a few MB patch solving this issue for most older games. There are a few good aspects of the game like the beautiful campaign map, the great scenario idea, good voice acting (when its there...) and that the main building blocks of 18th century warfare exist. However, these alone cannot redeem this catastrophe of a game. I think it is shameful the devs abadnoned this game so quickly and left it in the state it is. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! NOT EVEN FOR A 1 $/€ in 2026!

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Excellent, surtout les batailles navals. Un jeu qui permet de faire progresser et évoluer vos armées et infrastructures.
Норм игра, хотел весь мир захватить, но ходов ограничено, токо Европу захватил
Unfortunately. After hundreds of hours across two steam accounts and over 10 years of playing this game, I cannot recommend it. There are still game crashing and game breaking bugs that persist on this game, long after they have finished supporting it. It's one of my favorite titles in the Total War series, and it could have been a precursor to a bunch of other really cool historical periods being represented, but they completely lost the plot. Medieval 3 total war was recently annouced, and I am extremely concerned with the title. I just hope it's playable and just this publisher trying to make a watered down version of Crusader Kings 2. The simulation of battles, and creating strategic compositions of unit types for conflict, a focus on the warfighting elements is what total war is about. Worrying about making sure your family has enough heirs and loyalty to survive internal strife is not what makes total war games great. Let family tree simulator games make their games and please just make a total war game again.
Le jeu est bien mais tout le monde à le même uniforme mais pas avec la même couleur ... A oui 3 pays en un tour mon déclaré la guerre :)
Terrible jeu de stratégie, complet et magnifique pour son âge .
Frenches, it's okay if i get in the 7th turn French Revolution? It's tradition?
It has its quirks but at the same time, at least for many people, this was our early years.
