I love fishing! The fighting is cool, too
This like if classic Disney made an ARPG. Its good, great at times even. I feel like anyone could pick this up and enjoy it. Its not as in depth as others in the genre but it scratches that itch. It will also run on a potato which adds to the approachability. Years later its still one of the go to for new and old fans of the genre.

Torchlight III is out, so maybe it is best to get the latest version. This is an action roleplaying game (similar to Diablo I think) that has teenage cartoon-style graphics but it has also some dark elements in it. Maybe good as a casual Good-versus-Evil sort of game to play when you are free. I played this years ago and reached a stage in the storyline when I felt that I had to stop. Can't remember the details but it didn't feel good at the time, so I quit game then. But up until that point I had fun playing although I found it difficult to survive the dungeons on my player character at times. Perhaps it requires a bit of skill to play this game. Maybe get this game if you want to play Torchlight chronologically, or if you have played the latest version Torchlight III and then want to explore the storyline before it?
I love the combat in this game, it feels so good. enemies take alot damage, skill building is super fun, graphics are awesome. no need to be online 24/7!! which is super good.
Definitely better than Torchlight, a great ARPG.
Ah...the last great Diablo-like. How far we have fallen since then... I didn't have much time to play this game when I was younger, but it's been a delightful little time capsule. Concise and easily-understood mechanics, solid and satisfying action, and the only gameplay loop that's mattered in this genre since the beginning: fight, win, loot, repeat. If only they'd ever made a sequel.
Man merkt direkt, dass hier die Original Diablo Entwickler am Werk waren. Mir fehlt zwar etwas von diesem typischen Diablo Grafikstil, aber dennoch war das hier ein sehr solides Spiel. Ich hab es mir bereits vor vielen Jahren gekauft, bin aber jetzt erst dazu gekommen es durch zu spielen. Das hätte ich schon viel früher machen sollen und klare Kaufempfehlung! Wer sich in Diablo 1 & 2 wohl fühlte, macht hier nicht viel verkehrt :-).
Highly reccomend, doesnt exactly bring much that is unique among arpgs but is regardless a high quality game with great revisions of many existing mechanics, artstyle holds up surprisingly well too.
