Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 25 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This game is very charming and distinctively 2000's. One of the things that I enjoyed were the new gadgets and movement. Being able to chimney jump and stuck poles into the walls were fun and fresh compared to the relatively simple movements in the other tomb raider games. The story was interesting and I liked the new puzzles and features. This game has a good art direction and looks amazing for the time period it was released. The music in this game was also well timed and enjoyable. Although I enjoyed most of this game, there are for sure some flaws. First, the camera, I thought people were exaggerating when they said this camera was bad but wow. Most of this game you spend fighting the camera that is so dead set on being centered. It is especially annoying during certain jumps opposite from you or when swimming because it is trying to force you to go where you don't want to go. Another thing that I missed was the banter between Zip, Alister, and Lara from Legend. I was a bit sad when I didn't get to see or hear them much. I think certain plot points could have been enhanced if they were more present during certain parts. The last thing I didn't enjoy as much was some of the new gadgets and movement. I feel like some of these were thrown in just because they needed to be more interesting than the other two in the trilogy. The camera gadget was useless, I almost completely forgot it was in the game until I needed to use it for story purposes. It could have been interesting and I would have been more inclined to use it if it maybe told me the history of objects that I pointed it at. Otherwise, it was useless. Trying to climb on a ledge that Lara could absolutely reach and for some reason she wanted to chimney jump and jump backwards to her death was infuriating. This game is fun and charming but equally frustrating at times. I do think playing Legend Anniversary/TR1 before this is needed as big plot points won't make as much sense without it.

Janky animations unlike Legend and Anniversary, broken camera with its own mind, physics breaking when the framerate exceeds 60 without vsync on causing puzzle boxes to fly around the area when placed down and animations to become even jankier, boring story that's not as engaging as Legend which had lighthearted humor and more intriguing Arthurian lore which is abruptly dropped for Norse mythology, uncanny valley models including Lara, half of the level design being long dark grey corridors galore. Not to mention the true ending being locked to two story DLCs that have been exclusive to Xbox 360 for two decades. A lot of story elements and two characters have also been cut possibly due to time limitations back then. Then a third story DLC was cancelled in 2009, which was supposed to have a shocking outcome for Lara as they didn't care about the LAU timeline since the 2013 reboot was in development. The music is [i]great[i] though.
Lara before dei.
I loved Legend and Anniversary but this game is a shame for this series. The input is a catastrophic event beside the physig engine issues. Flying boxes you want to place on platforms, unfair deaths and so on. Definately a desaster this game.
✅
Honestly I bought this out of nostalgia. I had it on the Xbox 360 when I was younger, and I can confidently say that it still holds up. There's just something about this one and Legend that beat the more "realistic" depictions of Lara, like it actively embraces the absurdity of the concept itself rather than attempts to make her a gritty militant. Also a nude mod exists and makes the game 100% more enjoyable.
