Time to Morp

The first few minutes I was like 'hm, I don't know,' but then I met the Morps. I am in love with the Morps. Their sounds and behaviors are so precious, and you can stack them. It's a little bit grindy in the gathering of materials, and sometimes getting space for the buildings you need is a little bit of a hassle, but it's still very cute and fun, and I'd recommend it if you enjoy games like Slime Rancher, for the simple joy of seeing, holding, and tending to cute little creatures.

While the trailer made the game look like a fun game to play with friends, unfortunately the developers decided to use all the brightest colors they can find with zero means of controlling said brightness. If you have an astigmatism and/or a large PC screen (or at the very least sit close to the computer), anticipate a headache. I've never felt the urge to refund a game before -- and phew, there's been some stinkers -- but this was the only game I've refunded due to it being physically unplayable due to the immediate strain on my vision. Matter of fact, it was a multiplayer game amongst three people and the other two said the same, and did the same, at the same time. Add a feature to control the brightness or at least the ability to change menu to dark mode and we might try again! WOMP WOMP.

what should have been a really fun game was quickly abandoned and seeing Yogscast publish what is esentially a scam is dissapointing.

It's basically a slime rancher clone. Main differences are it has multiplayer, there's [b]much[/b] less exploring, and there's a story/questline. The UI can be frustrating at times, and fiddling with an area to fulfill the creatures (morps) habitat + food requirements was often painful as a result. Same goes for moving resources around. Aside from that the game is decent enough. Depending on what you want/like, it might be a good fit for you. Not an automatic recommend, but if you try the demo and like it then it's probably worth a buy.

It's fun for ~8 CAD, has some unique ideas that I haven't seen before in an automation game. Easily completable in less than 20 hrs. Lots of "side" aspects of the game feel unfinished and there are game design decisions that are questionable but the main concept is complete. Don't buy for full price but check it out if you're a fan of the automation genre and if you can get a deal on it.
