Who plays MMOs solo? You arent allowed to party up unless you do some annoying chain quest. You should be able to party up instantly, very dumb move on the devs part. The whole first zone is a ripoff of Westfall from World of Warcraft down to the harvesters... why?
It's a money grab stay away from it. Good concept. The story line will take you so far to where progressing in negligible and devs want you to buy into it to move forward. Stay away. ps devs. People will pay into a game and play it if they see progress without paying. Slamming the brakes on players just makes them leave.

To all the people looking at the reviews to see why the game has mixed reviews, just look at the negative reviews played hours. The negative reviews i see are from people with over 1000 hours. Are you really going to listen to someone tell you you shouldn't play a game when they have spent 1000 hours playing the game? I have 9-ish hours in it and so far, there is no major negative thing that i have seen that i could even remotely say is a bad thing for a free to play game. There are gameplay things that i wish were not a thing, but, its a good game. There are 2 main maps and i would say i am about 1/2 exploring the first one. I am lvl 30 right now, and the enemies and beginner dungeons are decently hard but fair. I think you unlock raids around lvl 50, but from the ui it looks like you can do full on guild raids. Guilds have an actual base location that you can launch raids from. You can get your own house, with multiple different locations and tiers to work towards, including crafting your own furnisher and decorations. All gear is crafted or rewarded as quest rewards as far as i can tell right now, so making your own gear actually feels good instead of just constantly looking for gear drops. The graphics are great. There are tons of systems to unlock, and you unlock the games systems as you play. There is resource gathering, so you will be mining, fishing, and chopping trees down. Other then maybe the battle pass, i don't see anything that is locked behind a paywall. Like... for a free to play game, I don't think you could ask for more. Downsides, at least for me, is you can not share quest's with people. You are basically going to be playing alone until you unlock the content that you can do with groups. That would be my only gripe... An MMO should let you play with your friends from the moment you enter the world. You can still play with friends, but you just have to follow them around and you wont be getting any quest xp for helping them. From the looks of the game, late game pvp is a big part. So i think thats why allot of people give it negative reviews. Late game, 1000 hours in pvp changes. If you are looking for a good game, with good systems, and good combat, give it a go. Its worth it. I look forward to the full on chaos of raid bosses with multiple parties, and seeing how the open world pvp is.
Empty PvE content Pay-to-win PvX The classes are unbalanced Ways to make in-game trade money has been reduced to extremely rare RNG only for a few coins of the currency (common prices range from at least hundreds to thousands) The parkour is the worst thing ever, the rollbacks are infamous In fact, just moving around is bugged and some missions are BASED ON MOVING AROUND Everything is made to make you pay, and some updates make it even worse as they remove possibilities, and made it so you can't even sell 99% of your stuff anymore This game is so bad and porrly managed that you can't even sustain playing two characters without spending a few hundreds
game is good other than the 0.001% chance for any noteworthy loot to drop
The current balance and business model of TNL are deeply concerning, as the game's economy and patches appear to intentionally favor a shifting "meta" with overpowered classes. After playing for nearly 5,000 hours, I've observed that each major patch leaves certain mechanics or classes extremely unbalanced. This pattern suggests a business model designed to drive players toward the auction house and inflate lucent purchases to keep up with the new meta. Furthermore, the response time to these balance issues is consistently slow. I hope the development team will consider prioritizing long-term game balance over short-term marketplace inflation. However, my trust in this company has repeatedly been abused and I would not recommend playing their games.
trash game, the devs dont listen to the community and everything is imbalanced plus its pay to win do not play
Hard to progress + if you want to swap to a different weapon well gg to you its gonna cost you a lot. this game wants your money nothing more :) well i hope devs listen to ppl and stop doing dumb things
