About
This War of Mine: Final Cut contains all the updates and free expansions released so far and introduces not only a new scenario but also expands all scenarios with the locations known from Stories DLCs - even if you don’t own those. In short words - that means you can now experience lots of never-seen-before playthroughs and struggle with new challenges.
Remastered versions of all the classic locations
One new classic scenario and a brand-new character
New quests and locations added to the original game
Vanilla version of the game
In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.
The pace of This War of Mine is imposed by the day and night cycle. During the day snipers outside stop you from leaving your refuge, so you need to focus on maintaining your hideout: crafting, trading and taking care of your survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to scavenge through a set of unique locations for items that will help you stay alive.
Make life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them for longer-term survival. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better.

Inspired by real-life events
Control your survivors and manage your shelter
Craft weapons, alcohol, beds or stoves – anything that helps you survive
Make decisions - an often unforgiving and emotionally difficult experience
Randomized world and characters every time you start a new game
Charcoal-stylized aesthetics to complement the game's theme
The Little Ones - explores the hardships of wartime survival as seen from an entirely new perspective - that of a child.
This War of Mine: Stories DLCs:
Episode 1: The Father's Promise – a heartbreaking tale of loss and hope in a war-torn city
Episode 2: The Last Broadcast – where, as a radio operator, you are going to face moral dilemmas and decide, whether there is a price too high for the truth
Episode 3: Fading Embers – portrays a story of Anja living in a warzone and carrying a heavy burden as she has to answer to herself what is more important - survival of human legacy or the survival of a man

Reviews
This War of Mine is not about winning a war. It's about surviving one more night. Instead of playing a soldier, you control ordinary civilians trapped in a city under siege. Every decision feels important: who gets food, who risks scavenging after dark, whether to help strangers, and how much of your humanity you're willing to sacrifice to survive. The survival mechanics are simple to understand but emotionally brutal. Hunger, illness, depression, exhaustion, and constant shortages turn even small victories into meaningful achievements. Finding medicine for a sick survivor can feel more satisfying than winning an entire battle in most games. The atmosphere is exceptional. The hand-drawn art style, haunting soundtrack, and bleak stories create a sense of desperation that few games manage to achieve. The added content in Final Cut further expands the experience with new stories, locations, and visual improvements. It can be repetitive after many playthroughs, and the difficulty can sometimes feel unforgiving. That's also part of what makes the game so effective: survival is never guaranteed. I began trying to optimize resources. I ended up questioning my moral compass because someone had canned food and I didn't.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

After 118 hours, i figured out that if you steal from defenceless idiots characters get into depression, thats why i took me 122 hours to finish the game. If you are not an idiot like me i fully recomend this game.
There's so much to say about this game and I don't believe I can ever put into words how great this game is and how much i love it. The brutality and sheer realness of this game is like no other, its like fallout shelter woke up and drank whiskey with a cigarette. This is the only game of this genre that has little to no story and will still make you feel bad for losing a character or separating a child from a parent. There's a plethora of stuff to do in this game as there is. but i would much rather give this company $60 for a sequel than all these crappy triple A game studios. They also donate to charity! ( I own this game on all 4 of my consoles ) its seriously one of the best games ever.
ceasefire is a concept
★★★★⯪

✦ 𝟒.𝟓/𝟓 ✦

War isn't an adventure. It's survival.
༺━━━━━━━━━━✦━━━━━━━━━━༻ ✦ A different kind of war game ✦ ◆ This War of Mine is a very good and atmospheric game that shows war from a perspective we don't usually get in games. You're not a soldier storming the battlefield. You're just trying to keep ordinary people alive, and that makes even simple decisions feel much more serious. ◆ The first few playthroughs were genuinely gripping. The atmosphere is great and the game can get surprisingly emotional, especially when your decisions start having consequences for the people you're trying to keep alive. ༺━━━━━━━━━━✦━━━━━━━━━━༻ ✦ Repetition eventually kicks in ✦ ◆ Unfortunately, after several playthroughs it started feeling pretty repetitive for me. The initial magic wore off, and the soundtrack that I initially liked eventually started drilling into my skull. But that's partly my own fault. I was determined to get all the achievements and kept playing long after I probably should have stopped. I was grinding the game instead of actually enjoying it. ༺━━━━━━━━━━✦━━━━━━━━━━༻ ✦ Simple, sometimes too simple ✦ ◆ Some of the mechanics could also use more depth. The characters don't interact with each other nearly enough, and I especially wish there had been more proper dialogue between them. Crafting is very basic, the AI occasionally loses its mind, and the combat takes some getting used to. ༺━━━━━━━━━━✦━━━━━━━━━━༻ ✦ Stories might actually be the best part ✦ ◆ And then there's This War of Mine: Stories. The three DLCs add proper stories and specific objectives on top of the survival mechanics, and honestly, I think I enjoyed them even more than the scenarios in the base game. Having a clear story and characters to care about gives the mechanics much more purpose. ༺═──────────────═༻ ✦ This War of Mine is a great game that works best when you don't treat it like a checklist. Give it a few playthroughs, make some horrible decisions, feel bad about them, and then put it down before the soundtrack starts haunting you.
