About
1. Accurate and realistic physics
2. Good maps that replicate real-life conditions
3. A fun multiplayer, because flying alone is boring
There are other simulators that do 1 or 2 of those quite well, but none really do it all for me.
So in 2024 I started with a little prototype to see if it's possible and quickly had something that already felt better than most other simulators.
At the start of this year I decided to go all-in and actually try to make it happen.
1. Physics
I've replicated my own itsFPV ERA 5" quad mostly based on feel, and every time I compare it to real-life footage or Blackbox logs, it's within a few percentage points.
The map choice is also very intentional with it being my home spot where I've flown more than 1000 packs, so I can compare it 1:1 to real-life.
All my Pro-pilot friends who tried it so far can also fly as well as in real-life without having to get used to the Sim first or spending hours dialing in the settings.
The default settings are my personal settings, but you can change the Weight and Power to your liking.
2. Maps
There is currently one map, a replica of my home spot. It's still missing some finer details and a proper surrounding environment, which is actively being worked on.
Going forward, most official maps will be replicas of real spots, and there will be a Custom map builder and Steam Workshop support for whatever crazy training parks you want to build.
3. Multiplayer
The best way to get better and find inspiration is by spectating other pilots. With picture-in-picture spectate mode you can spectate multiple other pilots on the side, while still flying yourself. You can also switch to fullscreen at any time of course.
The multiplayer currently supports up to 32 players on a single server.
Drift cars
Proper environment around the map
Fixed-wing and another special drone that doesn't exist in any Sim yet 👀
A second map with a real spot
Custom map editor
The game is far from finished, but development is very quick with big features being added every couple of days. And it's only getting quicker as I get more comfortable with 3D modeling and game development in general.
By buying the game in the early stages you can support the development in a huge way, and hey, maybe you'll get a little something in return at some point ;)
Keep up with the latest updates on Instagram @thezonefpv or on the community Discord server.
Everything in the game is designed and programmed by sponsored freestyle pilot @nils vo.
A game controller or RC Plane Radio is required to play this game. For the best experience, use a RC Radio.
Learning the basic controls takes about 2–5 hours, and it takes 10–20 hours before you can fly with any accuracy. This is a simulation and training tool, not a fun game you can just pick up and play without practice.

I bought The Zone after seeing the creator fly the real bando on YouTube, and honestly, I was skeptical. It’s made by an independent developer without a traditional game-development background, but it ended up surprising me. There still aren’t a huge number of maps, although there are now several official and community-made locations. The original bando alone is extremely replayable. More importantly, the flight feel is excellent: sharp, responsive, low-latency, and closer to real FPV than any other simulator I’ve tried. Going back to Liftoff afterward makes it feel noticeably floatier and less precise. It reminds me of classic Counter-Strike: not necessarily the most polished-looking experience, but the controls feel immediate and exact. It may not be perfect, but I now choose The Zone over every other FPV simulator I own. Definitely recommended.
Great SIM! I'd love to see 1-2 moving objects on any map, to practice orbiting around them.

I've been flying FPV for about 10 years and this is the first simulator I flew that just felt right, good physics and good maps with good graphics, I really enjoyed it and I recommend it 👍
Really nice sim. Has a chat feature and there are a lot of nice peoples in there.
incredible sim, small maps but it feels amazing the controls are perfect right out of the box unlike other sims you have to tweak for days sometimes, this one is simple runs great on laptops, and i am totally hooked on this one, i have over 500 hours on uncrashed and can honestly say between the two of these i will be flying for hours, this also has multiplayer up to 15 pilots per lobby {i think} and the drones look very realistic like fire flies all over the place. also a chat box just like uncrashed. Anywho its a great sim well worth $14.35 US {with tax}.
161h gute Stundenzahl-guter SIM! Wirklich sehr hilfreich für IRL. Nils implementiert aber kaum requestions. 90fps bei low einstellungen ist auch gut.
Great physics and excellent performance If you are looking for an FPV simulator with realistic flight feel, The Zone by Nils Vo is definitely worth checking out. The graphics are admittedly a bit unpolished and indie, but that actually comes with a major upside: the game runs incredibly smooth and hits high FPS even on lower-end computers or older hardware. You don't need a high-end gaming rig to get a fluid experience. What really makes this sim stand out is the physics. The quad handles beautifully and feels very natural on the sticks. The weight, inertia, and propwash are simulated really well, making the muscle memory transfer directly to real-life flying. If you value authentic flight physics and stable performance over flashy visuals, this is a solid choice. Great job by the developer!
I´m bad but the game is good :D
realistic
Ara sıra drone'u indirip başkalarının uçuş ekranını izlemekten ve yaptıkları hareketleri denemekten zevk alıyorum
