Have you ever thought or imagined how our world would look like after an apocalyptic event? What would we do if some of us were to survive? What world would we live in and what challenges would we face? What would you do?

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Dear Crochan, You, my friend, should be ashamed of yourself. Empty promises, screwing up a perfectly working game to this piece of steaming "you know this word"! At least the beta is an older version, not very pretty but much more fun then what you get originally. I have played more hours in beta version but eventually its just not a good release, probably never gonna happen. Man up, admit you screwed up and perhaps get some of your dignity back. I would say you owe that to the player base, if there still is any..

It could have been good. Good concept, poor execution. Zombie Tarkov, but not.
Devs put alot of effort into making this, but like a constipated dog, what eventually came out was a pile of stale, forced carp..
Last update 2019. No effort was made into making this a good game. Hours Played: Long enough to see the loop Verdict: ⚠️ Mixed / Not Recommended for Most The Withering is a survival game with a cool concept, moody atmosphere, and the energy of a project that really wanted to be deeper than it is. At first, it pulls you in. The world feels bleak, lonely, and appropriately hostile. The idea of slow decay—of both the environment and your character—is interesting, and the game does a decent job setting a grim tone. Unfortunately, once that first impression fades, there’s not much underneath it. Gameplay quickly settles into a repetitive routine. Survival mechanics exist, but they’re thin and predictable. After a few hours, you’ve basically seen everything the game has to offer, and from there it becomes a cycle of doing the same tasks, in the same places, for diminishing returns. Combat is serviceable at best and awkward at worst. Encounters lack tension because enemies are either trivial or frustrating, with little middle ground. Controls and animations don’t help—everything feels slightly unresponsive, like the game is always half a second behind you. The biggest issue is pacing. Progression is slow, but not in a meaningful “survival is hard” way—more in a “this could have been trimmed by half” way. Exploration stops feeling rewarding once you realize most areas offer atmosphere instead of actual gameplay variety. Who might enjoy it: * Players who prioritize mood over mechanics * Fans of slow, methodical survival games * People who enjoy minimalist, bleak worlds Who should probably skip it: * Anyone looking for deep systems or variety * Players who want tight combat or smooth controls * People with limited patience for repetition The Withering isn’t terrible—it’s just thin. There was a solid concept here, but it feels stretched over too little content. If you’re here for vibes and atmosphere, you might enjoy it. If you’re here for engaging survival gameplay, you’ll feel the fun wither away long before the game ends.
terrible UI, and gameplay. I've seen better mobile games.
Agree with the other review of alpha players. The dev ruined a partly playable game into an unplayable garbage. The movement and interface is clunky and lagging. combat is impossible even against normal zombies ...
Do not waste your money on this game
Promises were made, promises were broken, the game was rushed out of early access half-baked and then abandoned.
