Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really nice aesthetics and atmosphere, but unfortunately there's just not enough content to it. Beat it in half an hour and I didn't find the payoff satisfying at all, despite hints of an interesting and creepy presence.
Ambient sound often does most of the heavy lifting when it comes to building tension and it's no different in The Whisperer. There's no music, just the howling of the wind to keep you company as you wander the snow shrouded woods, looking for clues. And I got to hear plenty of that wind as I spent most of my time lost. Finding all the interaction points in a scene was more of an issue here than it is in most point-and-click games. Though the solutions themselves weren't that esoteric once you knew the options. Ultimately, the only mystery is spelled out right after the prologue and that mystery is solved without much distraction, making for a short experience. The twist is considerably more obtuse, but I suspect that's the intention. It's clear what's happened to the brothers. The particulars of our protagonist, however, those can be left to wonder.

Hallo?
A very simple, short game with a nice, spooky atmosphere. I might recommend buying it on sale, just because of the brevity of its length, but as a first game, it's very solid, and it's always nice to see a Canadian folk-horror game. I especially liked the inclusion of the Historical tour option available in the Settings, as I love learning and refreshing my memory on history, and it's great to see game developers actually caring about and wanting to show off their research! (And thank you SO much for portraying wigwams in the game, not enough indie developers seem bothered to learn about the different types of Indigenous buildings, always defaulting to tippees, so it's refreshing to see accurate representation set in the Quebecois region!) My only complaint is that the historical pop-ups are a bit limited in the game, and a bit short on detail - give me more history, please!
Very good atmosphere, but also very short. To be honest, 5€ is a bit too much, even so I enjoyed the game a lot.
this reminded me of the mystery hidden object games i played with my grandpa as a kid (i miss him) they used to give me nightmares and this scared me quite a bit too. loved the gloomy, isolated atmosphere.
barely any story and nothing lovecraftian.. just poor game mechanics and lots of walking back and forth (clicking like 10 times down a long path with nothing interesting to even look at) to find a few notes that barely give you anything to go on. even the history mode added very, very little to the whole experience. when i went to play this today i honestly thought this was a free game that i had downloaded a while back and felt alright about it. until i realized this was a paid game. not worth any money imo. neither the story nor the gameplay offer enough entertainment to spend money on this. (also this game taking up 3.5gb of storage feels wild considering how little there is going on here.)
Prostředí příjemné, zvuky dobré, příběh újde. Herní čas je ale cca jen 1h. Nic extra, ale zdarma nebo levně klidně.
There is no good reason why this should be paid (especially at such a high price) as it is very short and feels ore like a demo to The Whispering Valley than a full game. Takes less than 10 minutes to complete if you know what you are doing. One of the houses might be this asset: https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/log-cabin
