The Turing Test

Is it just me that gets terribly freaked out by this game? Like I feel legitimate terror. Otherwise, great game.

A puzzle game, much like Portal but with different mechanics. You play as Ava, waking up from a cryogenic sleep, and are instructed by an AI, TOM, to look into a situation on the planet they are orbiting. The gameplay consists of a series of puzzle rooms, that you need to complete in order to progress. They take places in a linear fashion, with the small exception of the optional areas which can be skipped. Why these puzzle rooms exist, I will leave for the game to explain as the story is a big part of the game. The puzzles mainly revolve around manipulating energy to power / de-power nodes that will do things such as open doors, move platforms, etc. As the game goes on, new mechanics and power sources will be introduced, making things more complicated and interesting. I don't want to ruin the journey so won't go into more detail there. This should appeal to most people that enjoy puzzle games. The difficulty is on the easier side, but there are some that are tricky or demand thinking outside the box. There are lots of puzzles (around 60-70 I think), but these are all pretty short until the later stages of the game (unless you get stuck of course). Beyond the puzzles, there is a narrative that is mostly told by conversations with the AI at the beginning of each level. There are also audio clips and a few other mechanisms that give more information and different perspectives. It is well delivered, interesting and will get you thinking though the resolution leaves a lot of room for interpretation. For negatives, not much. A few puzzles were a bit fiddly with physics requirements, some puzzles either had lots of red-herrings or I just managed to bypass the intended route somehow. One puzzle required a lot of going back and forth (an optional one). And I would have preferred a more definitive, fully explained ending. My thoughts on the ending seem to be quite different from what others thought, after looking at the comments, so it would have been nice to know for sure somehow. The game was on the shorter side; not a negative for me, but some might think it one. One other thing is the audio clips are not subtitled. I can hear fine, but some of these are quite garbled or quiet with accents and were quite difficult to understand, forcing me look online to see what they actually said. Pretty bad decision there. Overall, I really enjoyed the game. It is a well designed puzzle game with an interesting story. It may not be quite on the same level as the best puzzle games out there, but it is just a step behind and is original in it's own right. Maybe a bit expensive for how short it is, but otherwise well worth it.

Very much a "Portal" like game but a good game in it's own right. Decent story as well.

A great game puzzle game with some issue in his difficulty (seem really easy usually but sometimes it extremely hard) the game has a good story and sometimes seem much similar to a portal game but its completely different,If you like game like Portal or The Witness give a check on this game !
