Years ago a demoness’s elemental cult ruled from a temple near Nulb until the Circle of Eight razed it. Now bandits stalk Hommlet and dark forces gather at the ruins. In this classic party‑based D&D RPG, unmask their true purpose and confront the reborn evil before chaos engulfs the land.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 7 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The Temple of Elemental Evil, first released in 2003, has inspired a passionate community for over two decades. This updated edition is a true labor of love, shaped by years of fan dedication and the incredible efforts of the Circle of Eight and Temple+ modding communities. It brings the classic D&D adventure to life for modern players with over a thousand fixes and improvements - from enhanced stability and AI to smoother performance, refined UI, and countless quality-of-life updates. We’re deeply thankful to everyone who’s helped preserve and evolve this classic.
An evil demoness founded a cult dedicated to exploring evil in its most elemental forms. This cult was based in a temple just outside the village of Hommlet in a vile shire known as Nulb. Soon, this cult ruled the region with tyranny; times of chaos and violence ensued. Hard-fought battles were waged and the war was eventually won by the good armies of nearby lands. The temple was razed, the villains were imprisoned, and order was restored. The temple itself faded into distant memory...until now.
Recently, bandits have begun patrolling the roads outside Hommlet and wicked forces are rumored to be afoot, converging on the ruined temple at Nulb. Their purposes for such meetings are as yet unknown. The identity of these people are equally a mystery. Some claim they are bent on slaying monsters and maintaining order within the region, but no one can be sure.
So begins your adventure within the Realm of Greyhawk. It is an adventure that will lead to the source of a deep and abiding mystery, to the very core of evil itself.

Just as good as before
Sadly the game aged like milk. It's not that the game is hard but it does not teafch you the rules so you make mistakes over and over. It should be updated to give more feedback.
The Temple of Elemental Evil (ToEE) is an isometric RPG based on the Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) 3.5 Edition rules. As an implementation of D&D 3.5 it is superb, and comes with a comprehensive manual that's well worth a read if you want to truly understand the systems that underpin the game. There's a huge amount of choice in creating your characters. Alternatively, you can choose any of the premade characters that come with the game. Be aware that the game will punish you severely if you go adventuring without a balanced party! Unlike the Balder's Gate and Icewind Dale games, which use real-time with pause for combat, ToEE uses a turn-based system and is much more tactical in its approach. The focus of the game is on combat and using your party's abilities to triumph against the varied foes that you'll encounter. There is a story, but I wouldn't say it's a particularly strong one! This version of the game comes with a bunch of mods preinstalled that fix various bugs and provide improved graphics, which is great. However, remember that this is still a game from 2003! I played through the tutorial, then started the game in the town of Hommlet, which serves as a quest hub for the early part of the game. As usual, you wander around talking to people and picking up quests, but the quest log is pretty rubbish and objectives are not well signposted, which you might find frustrating, particularly if you're used to the conveniences of more modern RPGs. For example, the map doesn't have any quest markers or labels for the houses and shops that you visit, so you either have to remember where everything is or consult a walkthrough with a map. You can add labels to the map, but I found there was a maximum number, so gave up on that idea. I ended up doing the majority of the quests in Hommlet, including visiting other locations on the world map, such as Deklo Grove and Emridy Meadows, where you encounter various enemies, This gave me enough of a taste of the game that I decided I wasn't going to continue. The quests were not very inspiring and I think I prefer real-time with pause combat over a turn-based system.
