Good game. I like the fact that it's a bit different than the previous one. The ending was a bit predictable, but the atmosphere and environment make up for it.
The Stalked 2, developed and published by Korvinrular, is a compact but intensely focused psychological horror experience that builds upon the foundation of its predecessor while refining its sense of unease and narrative direction. The game places the player in the role of Rachel, a young woman whose ordinary hiking trip into the wilderness quickly devolves into a disturbing ordeal. From its opening moments, the game establishes a feeling of vulnerability and isolation, drawing the player into a scenario where danger is never clearly visible, yet constantly implied. Rather than relying on spectacle or overt horror tropes, The Stalked 2 leans heavily into atmosphere and suggestion, allowing tension to grow naturally as the journey unfolds. Visually, the game adopts a grounded first-person perspective that enhances immersion and reinforces the feeling of being watched. Forest paths, cabins, and interior spaces are presented with a subdued, realistic style that avoids excess detail while still conveying a strong sense of place. Lighting is used sparingly but effectively, with shadows and limited visibility creating persistent uncertainty about what lies ahead. The environments feel deliberately lonely, and the lack of comforting visual landmarks makes even simple exploration feel unsettling. This restraint works in the game’s favor, as it allows the player’s imagination to fill in the gaps, often making moments of silence more frightening than any explicit scare. Sound design plays a crucial role in sustaining the game’s oppressive mood. Ambient noises such as rustling leaves, distant footsteps, or faint environmental sounds create a constant sense of anticipation. Music is minimal, often giving way to silence, which heightens the impact of sudden audio cues or unexpected events. The absence of constant musical guidance means players are left to interpret their surroundings on their own, reinforcing the idea that safety is uncertain and fleeting. This careful use of audio helps maintain tension throughout the experience, even during moments where little is happening on screen. In terms of gameplay, The Stalked 2 remains intentionally simple. There is no combat system, and interaction is limited to walking, observing, and engaging with objects or characters when prompted. This lack of agency is not a flaw but a deliberate design choice that emphasizes helplessness. Every step forward feels risky, not because of complex mechanics, but because the player knows that escape options are limited. Encounters with other characters are often ambiguous, blending everyday conversation with subtle hints that something is deeply wrong. This uncertainty keeps the player constantly questioning intentions and outcomes, which is central to the game’s psychological impact. Narratively, the game unfolds in a linear fashion, guiding the player steadily toward its conclusion without unnecessary detours. The story is conveyed through environmental storytelling, brief interactions, and the gradual escalation of unsettling events. Rather than offering extensive exposition, the game trusts the player to piece together meaning from what they see and experience. This approach may leave some questions unanswered, but it also gives the narrative a lingering quality, encouraging reflection after the game ends. The themes of being followed, observed, and psychologically manipulated are handled with restraint, making them feel personal rather than exaggerated. One of the defining characteristics of The Stalked 2 is its short runtime, which typically lasts under an hour. While this may initially seem limiting, it ultimately strengthens the experience by ensuring that tension remains consistent from beginning to end. The game avoids padding or repetition, delivering a tightly paced sequence of events that escalates naturally. The ending, while brief, is designed to leave an impression rather than provide closure, reinforcing the unsettling tone established throughout the journey. Overall, The Stalked 2 is a focused and effective example of indie psychological horror that understands its strengths and limitations. It does not attempt to compete with larger horror titles in terms of scope or mechanics, instead offering a distilled experience centered on mood, vulnerability, and narrative tension. Players who enjoy slow-burn horror, walking simulators, and stories driven by atmosphere rather than action will likely find it compelling. While it may not appeal to those seeking replayability or mechanical depth, it succeeds in delivering a memorable and unsettling experience that lingers in the mind long after it ends. Rating: 7/10
6.5/10,有中文好评! 剧情简单易懂,都是自己做的场景,值得肯定!
the plot twist is crazy
Quite different from the first game in this series. Less suspense, but better visuals. The modern apartment was really well designed! Stalked by guild was an interesting concept.
Loved the jump scares!
fedt lille horror spil!
