About
The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror set in 1920s Arkham. Deliberate, tense, and resource-lean: pressure builds as you push deeper, relief comes in brief refuge, and fear is something you manage. Mind your inventory, take on unnerving puzzles, and double back via unlocked shortcuts for supplies and upgrades.
A Roaring ’20s port city buckling under a supernatural flood. Tide-stained avenues and battered Art Deco. Speakeasies gone dark. Districts feel lived-in and water-worn, with routes by foot and skiff, shortcuts behind collapsed seawalls, and secrets tucked in boarded parlors. You’ll navigate a hospital where science hides its face, a fish market where the merchandise bites back, and descend deep below the city to where eldritch horrors stir.
A ritual gone wrong trapped her soul in the Dreamlands, and now malevolent forces have stolen her body. To rescue the woman you love, you must walk a dangerous path through catastrophe to the source of the flood — her presence always felt, but rarely seen.
The Slither animate the dead. Deep Ones surge from dark water. Shadows bend space and test nerves. Some fights must be met head-on; others demand a retreat to rearm, retune your build, and return better prepared. Or take on an optional investigation and come back with an upgraded gun.
Exploration is the key to survival. Read ritual residues, sift through grisly clues, decode journals that shouldn’t exist, and pry at masks that won’t come off. Optional cases never gate progress — but they unlock safer routes, hard supplies, and upgrades that change how you endure the next encounter.
The Sinking City 2 draws on Frogwares’ detective roots to deliver survival horror that runs deep and hits hard. Shaped by studio obsession and community feedback, it’s a faithful Lovecraft experience: myths made manifest, and the inconceivable fear that results.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

not bad
A bit more linear than the first game, but oozing with atmosphere. Some good voice-acting and combat in here too, though on the higher difficulties you have to remember that you can actually run from a lot of the fights in the game - save that ammo for later. Recommended.
Ist ganz gut. Macht Spaß!
The Sinking City 2 to świetny survival horror.
Neutral opinion about it, using the recommend button because newcomers to the series might have some fun with it.
Basically, it's a (modern) Resident Evil fangame. The good news is that you don't need to have played The Sinking City 1 in order to understand it, as all the events happen in a completely different location with completely new characters. The bad news is pretty much the rest of the package. By no means was The Sinking City 1 a hit game with the best gameplay and a flawless lovecraftian atmosphere: it was jank as hell, it had an open world begging you to not explore it and you were encouraged to cheese and play like a rat instead of roleplaying to the tune of the story. However, the narrative was one of the strongest points and there was genuinely a formula there that could have been polished, a lovecraftian detective loop that required trimming a bit of the fat from the first game, polishing the jank and keeping the incredible narrative. Instead, they decided to abandon what made the series "unique" in favour of being "good". Yes, there is way less jank and a more linear path that doesn't have you wasting your time in an open world that fills until you start solving detective cases. In fact, you're not actually solving any cases this time, as much as you're solving puzzles like any other Resident Evil. Was the tradeoff worth it? Perhaps only for the modern audience. In summary, don't go in expecting it to be anything like the first entry of the series. They could have cooked something great but instead opted for the easy choice and made an average, serviceable game you'll have some fun with for 2 or 3 days. Also, they are very, very stingy with the bullets, so you better learn how to dodge. 3/5.
In general, it's a great game. Technically, I didn't have any issues. It has a good story with a real Lovecraft ending. But it's hard to call it Sinking City 2, because it's a totally different game. There's no open world — it's more like a Resident Evil game but with a different setting. Thanks to the developers for their position, and especially for the images in one of the cabinets in the hospital, something in the fire department, etc. In my opinion, it's 8.5/10.
