Set in the Roaring '20s, The Sinking City 2 is a survival horror steeped in Lovecraftian dread. Defy an eldritch deity and explore the drowned alleys of Arkham, stalked by the dead, as you weigh one life against an entire city.

About
The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror set in 1920s Arkham. Deliberate, tense, and resource-lean: pressure builds as you push deeper, relief comes in brief refuge, and fear is something you manage. Mind your inventory, take on unnerving puzzles, and double back via unlocked shortcuts for supplies and upgrades.
A Roaring ’20s port city buckling under a supernatural flood. Tide-stained avenues and battered Art Deco. Speakeasies gone dark. Districts feel lived-in and water-worn, with routes by foot and skiff, shortcuts behind collapsed seawalls, and secrets tucked in boarded parlors. You’ll navigate a hospital where science hides its face, a fish market where the merchandise bites back, and descend deep below the city to where eldritch horrors stir.
A ritual gone wrong trapped her soul in the Dreamlands, and now malevolent forces have stolen her body. To rescue the woman you love, you must walk a dangerous path through catastrophe to the source of the flood — her presence always felt, but rarely seen.
The Slither animate the dead. Deep Ones surge from dark water. Shadows bend space and test nerves. Some fights must be met head-on; others demand a retreat to rearm, retune your build, and return better prepared. Or take on an optional investigation and come back with an upgraded gun.
Exploration is the key to survival. Read ritual residues, sift through grisly clues, decode journals that shouldn’t exist, and pry at masks that won’t come off. Optional cases never gate progress — but they unlock safer routes, hard supplies, and upgrades that change how you endure the next encounter.
The Sinking City 2 draws on Frogwares’ detective roots to deliver survival horror that runs deep and hits hard. Shaped by studio obsession and community feedback, it’s a faithful Lovecraft experience: myths made manifest, and the inconceivable fear that results.

I haven’t finished The Sinking City 2 yet, but I think I’ve played enough to know what kind of game it is. And yes, like many others have said, this feels much closer to Resident Evil or The Evil Within than the first Sinking City. I can completely understand why that disappoints some people, because I felt the same way at first. I was hoping they would take the formula from the first game and improve on it, rather than change direction this much. But once I stopped expecting it to be “more of the first game,” I started enjoying it a lot more. As a survival horror game, I think it works really well. The atmosphere is great, exploring feels good, and so far it feels surprisingly polished and complete. Especially compared to how many games are released these days feeling like they still needed another six months in development. So if you’re looking for a proper continuation of the first game’s style, you might be disappointed. But if you enjoy survival horror and don’t mind the change in direction, I can absolutely recommend it. So far, a big thumbs up from me.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Як для фаната сурвайвал горору та Лавкрафта гра наче створена для мене
Holy Crap this is good! The game plays quite a bit different from my Favorite Sinking City 1 though, but it kind of makes sense...if you played and seen how things end in the Sinking City 1. The only disappointing thing is the lack of detective mechanics and investigation mechanic from the first game, since I am also a big fan of Frogwares Sherlock Holmes games, I really miss that part. If there is a Sinking City 3, I hope that they will bring those investigation and RPG mechanics back. 85/100 On the other hand, in here there are many clues that have to be discovered by looking at them at close proximity, and not just by picking things up mechanically, which was interesting.
First game i enjoyed, it was a different, janky, fun experience. This new one they have decided to go a little more in the Resident Evil style, closed map, and more action focused. It turned out great, I'm having a blast. Make sure you connect your clues - they don't tell you to via gameplay, and I almost missed out on all the talent points in act 2. Recommend heavily.
great game doesnt hold your hand and makes your really work for it
This game is a very different style from the first game, it's less of a detective game and leans a lot more into survival horror. Although it has a different setting and different gameplay, it still feels true to the original and fits really well into the Lovecraftian style of games. Game runs good on my mid-to-high end PC.
Took everything great from the first game-kept it or improved upon it-and discarded everything lackluster about the first and replaced it with greater things.
