About
The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror set in 1920s Arkham. Deliberate, tense, and resource-lean: pressure builds as you push deeper, relief comes in brief refuge, and fear is something you manage. Mind your inventory, take on unnerving puzzles, and double back via unlocked shortcuts for supplies and upgrades.
A Roaring ’20s port city buckling under a supernatural flood. Tide-stained avenues and battered Art Deco. Speakeasies gone dark. Districts feel lived-in and water-worn, with routes by foot and skiff, shortcuts behind collapsed seawalls, and secrets tucked in boarded parlors. You’ll navigate a hospital where science hides its face, a fish market where the merchandise bites back, and descend deep below the city to where eldritch horrors stir.
A ritual gone wrong trapped her soul in the Dreamlands, and now malevolent forces have stolen her body. To rescue the woman you love, you must walk a dangerous path through catastrophe to the source of the flood — her presence always felt, but rarely seen.
The Slither animate the dead. Deep Ones surge from dark water. Shadows bend space and test nerves. Some fights must be met head-on; others demand a retreat to rearm, retune your build, and return better prepared. Or take on an optional investigation and come back with an upgraded gun.
Exploration is the key to survival. Read ritual residues, sift through grisly clues, decode journals that shouldn’t exist, and pry at masks that won’t come off. Optional cases never gate progress — but they unlock safer routes, hard supplies, and upgrades that change how you endure the next encounter.
The Sinking City 2 draws on Frogwares’ detective roots to deliver survival horror that runs deep and hits hard. Shaped by studio obsession and community feedback, it’s a faithful Lovecraft experience: myths made manifest, and the inconceivable fear that results.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Is it a good sequel to The Sinking City? No, not really, its a sequel in name only. However, is it a great lovecraftian resident evil-like? Absolutely. I do hope this isn't the end of Frogwares previous detective-style games, but, I also would love to see more of this from them in the future. Had a blast playing through the game!
As others have said it's very much Resident Evil 4 mixed with Silent Hill 2 but in Cthulu clothes. There are still some small investigative puzzles, and even a few where I did need to stop and think a second, but overall this is very different from the first game - although this game is only tangentially related to the first one anyways. It also helps that Frogwares has absolutely nailed the what they cribbed from RE and SH. A really well balanced survival system too - properly reactive to seem to be low on ammo a lot but never out of ammo. Pushed me to use every weapon in my arsenal which was fun! Game is a bit on the short side, but I also felt that by doing a "pick up everything/solve everything" run that I got my moneys worth. Curious to play around with the New Game+ ! My only real complaint is that towards the end the difficulty is slips a bit into being slightly annoying with a few too many "lets just throw 5 waves of enemies at them" versus more engaging dynamic scenarios. Still, I had an absolute blast with this one and highly recommend it.
This is the very different game than the original Sinking City. You should not expect the heavy focus on investigation. However, you can expect a solid survival horror experience set within the Cthulhu Mythos. Frogwares has once again managed to nail the theme and styling of the mythos but this time in a much more contained and polished environment. The overall gameplay is similarly more polished with movement and combat massively improved from the first. In terms of content on offer, I managed to complete the game in ~9 hours and still had the side investigation and new game plus to enjoy. As a fan of both Lovecraftian settings and survival horror games, I highly enjoyed my time with Sinking City 2 and am looking forward to more investigation and a new playthrough to unlock the achievements that I missed.
Nice game
You should get this.
Good
