About
The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror set in 1920s Arkham. Deliberate, tense, and resource-lean: pressure builds as you push deeper, relief comes in brief refuge, and fear is something you manage. Mind your inventory, take on unnerving puzzles, and double back via unlocked shortcuts for supplies and upgrades.
A Roaring ’20s port city buckling under a supernatural flood. Tide-stained avenues and battered Art Deco. Speakeasies gone dark. Districts feel lived-in and water-worn, with routes by foot and skiff, shortcuts behind collapsed seawalls, and secrets tucked in boarded parlors. You’ll navigate a hospital where science hides its face, a fish market where the merchandise bites back, and descend deep below the city to where eldritch horrors stir.
A ritual gone wrong trapped her soul in the Dreamlands, and now malevolent forces have stolen her body. To rescue the woman you love, you must walk a dangerous path through catastrophe to the source of the flood — her presence always felt, but rarely seen.
The Slither animate the dead. Deep Ones surge from dark water. Shadows bend space and test nerves. Some fights must be met head-on; others demand a retreat to rearm, retune your build, and return better prepared. Or take on an optional investigation and come back with an upgraded gun.
Exploration is the key to survival. Read ritual residues, sift through grisly clues, decode journals that shouldn’t exist, and pry at masks that won’t come off. Optional cases never gate progress — but they unlock safer routes, hard supplies, and upgrades that change how you endure the next encounter.
The Sinking City 2 draws on Frogwares’ detective roots to deliver survival horror that runs deep and hits hard. Shaped by studio obsession and community feedback, it’s a faithful Lovecraft experience: myths made manifest, and the inconceivable fear that results.

I'll give this game a thumbs up, even though I'm somewhat disappointed with it in some aspects. I really enjoyed the open world and detective elements in Sinking City 1, so I was sad to see they were massively scaled back/nonexistent in this installment. That said, the sequel does a lot of things incredibly well. It's an amazing survival/horror game, and for me really captures the feeling of playing a Call of Cthulhu scenario. I hope if they make a third game, they are able to combine the elements that both the first and second games did well. A large, open-world detective game with the Sinking City 2's gameplay would be amazing.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The Sinking City delivers a genuinely fun experience, anchored by its brilliant atmospheric take on the Lovecraftian mythos. While the narrative can be predictable in places, it remains engaging enough to pull you through the horror. The environments set a great mood, but there is missed potential in the world design—expanding Arkham with more places to explore would have done wonders for immersion. The game’s structure also shifts noticeably toward the end; it becomes far more linear, abandoning the open, non-linear exploration that made the early hours feel so compelling. A few rough edges hold it back from greatness. Enemy spawn triggers feel unnatural at times, and both movement and combat lack polish. The gunplay is far from bad, but it lacks weight and refinement. Overall, it is a strong, above-average title. I would love to see a future entry double down on this Resident Evil–style survival horror blueprint, but with tighter mechanics and a expanded world. Rating: 8/10
Soooo.... The Sinking City 2...
Considering the conditions under which this game was made, I salute the devs for a job well done. I found this entertaining and fun. What more can you ask for. Not a AAA game but a well done AA, worth the money. Happy to support Ukraine
