About
The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror set in 1920s Arkham. Deliberate, tense, and resource-lean: pressure builds as you push deeper, relief comes in brief refuge, and fear is something you manage. Mind your inventory, take on unnerving puzzles, and double back via unlocked shortcuts for supplies and upgrades.
A Roaring ’20s port city buckling under a supernatural flood. Tide-stained avenues and battered Art Deco. Speakeasies gone dark. Districts feel lived-in and water-worn, with routes by foot and skiff, shortcuts behind collapsed seawalls, and secrets tucked in boarded parlors. You’ll navigate a hospital where science hides its face, a fish market where the merchandise bites back, and descend deep below the city to where eldritch horrors stir.
A ritual gone wrong trapped her soul in the Dreamlands, and now malevolent forces have stolen her body. To rescue the woman you love, you must walk a dangerous path through catastrophe to the source of the flood — her presence always felt, but rarely seen.
The Slither animate the dead. Deep Ones surge from dark water. Shadows bend space and test nerves. Some fights must be met head-on; others demand a retreat to rearm, retune your build, and return better prepared. Or take on an optional investigation and come back with an upgraded gun.
Exploration is the key to survival. Read ritual residues, sift through grisly clues, decode journals that shouldn’t exist, and pry at masks that won’t come off. Optional cases never gate progress — but they unlock safer routes, hard supplies, and upgrades that change how you endure the next encounter.
The Sinking City 2 draws on Frogwares’ detective roots to deliver survival horror that runs deep and hits hard. Shaped by studio obsession and community feedback, it’s a faithful Lovecraft experience: myths made manifest, and the inconceivable fear that results.

Sinking City 2, hayatta kalma korku türünü seven oyuncuların çoğunu memnun edecektir. Zor şartlarda oyunu geliştiren Ukraynalı firma Frogwares bence kısıtlı bütçe ile gayet güzel bir ürün ortaya koymuş. Resident Evil, Cronos New Dawn, Silent Hill vb. oyunları oynadıysanız büyük ölçüde aynı formül ile karşı karşıyasınız. Tek ortak yanı sanırım her iki oyunda şehirlerin sular altında kalmış olması. Puanım: 7,5/10 Artılar: -Görseller ve atmosfer -Cthulhu temalı hikaye -Bulmacalar -Heyecanlı ve taktiksel savaşlar -Düşman tasarımları -Ses efektleri -Seviye tasarımları (zekice bağlantılar ve safe house lokasyonlarının insaflı yerleşimi) -Türkçe dil desteği Eksiler: -Türe herhangi bir yenilik sunmaması -Ara sinematiklerde cila eksiği -Sürekli düşman gelen savaş arenaları -Son bölüm diğerlerine göre zayıf kalmış -Oynanış süresi biraz daha uzun olabilirdi :)

The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I really wanted to like this game. I was so excited for the release that I even marked it on my calendar, but I just don't like it. Unlike in the first game, I'm not interested in the characters - at all! I don't give a damn whether anyone lives, dies, or whatever. It doesn’t draw me in. And this is coming from someone who completed Sinking City 1 with all achievements - and enjoyed doing so! - and had actually planned to do the same with this game. But why should I care about a story that basically follows the “Your princess is in another castle” formula, a la Super Mario? On top of that, after the first level (the only level where I might actually have been interested in a character, only to never see him again), I didn’t feel scared for a single second. Instead, I was annoyed whenever enemies showed up. Very quickly, I stopped shooting almost entirely and just started dodging my way through the map, briefly opening the map to see where I had to run up and down 10 flights of stairs and one ladder this time to continue the “story,” and then kept dodging until I got there. Every new enemy was more annoying than the last; all in all, it’s a lot of jumping around and spitting and enemies respawn in hordes whenever you touched the next best item. You’re more or less forced to run in circles in a tiny space while reloading your weapon and as soon as an enemy blocks a narrow passage, you’re screwed, or whenever the game just won’t let you open the door. Oh, and if you don’t think running back and forth while reloading is fun enough, how about if we also fill the entire room with bear traps? Combat just isn’t fun. Inventory management is also a pain because you have to carry every piece of junk with you, which means you’re constantly running back to the safe room and then halfway across the map again (I really hated Level 3 in that regard), and leveling up doesn’t feel rewarding either (even though that’s where the only spark of detective mechanics has been crammed in). For people who really love playing zombie shooters, this is probably a good game, but I’m just not the target audience anymore, because the world I fell so in love with - with its tragic characters and social conflicts - unfortunately no longer exists. And since I’m not overly fond of shooters as a genre anyway (as you may have noticed), it just isn’t enough for me anymore. I will finish the game (I think I'm close to the end anyway), but I doubt anything that might happen now will change my mind about it.
Resident evili sevenler bu oyunu sever gibi daha oyunun çok başlarındayım ama beğendim NOT: Oyunla alakalı mı hiç bilmiyorum ama bu oyunu oynarken ciddi şekil de midem bulandı anlamadım
I'm going to keep playing and see if anything changes for me but so far it's hard to recommend IF you're wanting an experience to similar to The Sinking City. The game just moves you from combat arena to combat arena so far and the puzzles are laughably easy with almost no necessary deduction. In the first couple of ours the arguably hardest puzzle so far has been the safe puzzle in the first area, and it's not difficult because you don't know what you're looking for it's just not in a place you would normally look. There is no real detective work, the clues all but spell out the the answer you just have to put them together. Its basically you group things that talk about x together and things that talk about y together and then you just do the steps on it. I'm on the hardest puzzle difficulty so I'm not even sure how they could realistically get easier. This is honestly just RE:4, but the original version not the polished remake. Combat is stiff and repetitive, the guns don't feel good to use so far (only pistol and shotgun so things may be different later on), and the enemies don't feel fun to fight. It's just shoot, wait, shoot, and maybe you dodge if they got too close. I went into this game hoping for a detective adventure with updated combat. I avoided the spoilers for it because I wanted to experience it all in the game. It feels like I watched the first Cars movie with the first game and then for the second they changed it to a gritty war movie. I don't get why they went this way when the only rough part of TSC was the combat and that you had to do certain things in a certain order. Honestly I feel like the best comparison I've personally experienced like this is, TSC was the OG Mass Effect Trilogy, and TSC2 is Mass Effect Andromeda. Andromeda was a fun game and I played a lot of it, but it took a lot of what I loved about Mass Effect and threw it out the window. If the game didn't have mass effect in it's title I wouldn't have been disappointed because they set the expectation of the game by continuing it. TL:DR If you want The Sinking City, skip this title. If you want a Resident Evil Game, you are probably better off playing one of them. If you already played the other RE games and want a new experience you'll probably enjoy this for a bit.
Just play 2024's Alone In The Dark reboot. It's a very similar game, clunky gameplay all the same, but a million times better in every other way. I really want to like The Sinking City 2. I respect the developers for delivering a competent title despite their hometown being bombed by Russia every second night and many of the dev team being conscripted to fight at the frontlines, defending their homeland and freedom with their blood. Unfortunately, The Sinking City 2 is a troubled, mediocre game with some glaring flaws. Stellar atmosphere in the opening hours and spectacular flow of mid-game levels can't fix it's core problems. Gameplay-wise, it lacks identity. It is a by-the-numbers survival horror that, while often works well, is janky at best and infuriating at worst. It has possibly the single worst resource economy I saw in a game like this. Good luck new enemies spawning into the same areas, multiple times, without giving you any new ammo or resources for crafting. Have fun with bossfights which you enter virtually without any ammo. It's hard to be afraid of a Deep One when you keep on murdering them in hand-to-hand combat since you have no ammo left to use. Secondly, the story is a nothingbuger. It is somehow incredibly simple without any meaningful developements or reveals *and* almost incomprehensible at the same time. It takes at face value that players have excellent knowledge of Lovecraft mythos and doesn't care to explain jack sh*t, especialy given the characters seem to be perfectly aware of the supernatural and borderline disregard it (which is somewhat completely against the ethos of eldritch horror). I read my fair share of Lovecraft back in the day but I still ended up confused - Some reveals seemed so obvious that either they are banal for anyone with passing knowledge of HPL or go completely over your head unless you have a PhD in cosmic horror studies. Neither of those options is good. "Oh, look, a primordial alien deity called XYZ. Anyway, do you still love me, Faye?". Ah, yes. Sinking City 2 is also, somehow, a love story. I do think focusing a game of this type of that topic is quite daring and, on its' own, the romance between protagonists does work, but in the context of the wider events happening around it is hard to take it seriously. In the end, the game is passable. Clunky but mostly inoffensive. Art is nice, some levels are striking in atmosphere and style. Others, like the final area, just feel like a dissapointment. Music is tolerable if mundane. I did like the puzzles, so there's that. Mushroom Jack was rad, too. But, like I wrote at the beginning - Just play Alone In The Dark instead. It shines in every narrative and stylistic area The Sinking City 2 stumbles.

it seeks like a jump scare a bit, which is cool, but its not worth the price at the moment. the combat is sort of rough because sometimes you have to wait unreasonable amounts of time for the weakspots to show up, they give you the opportunity to backtrack for loot, but often the loot is just ammo or health, that you wind up loosing even doubling back through an area you already cleared , because new enemies spawn and consume more resources than you made in the side objective, which feels more like punishing me for exploring. some of the translations are wonky, so when im trying to do the puzzles without hints or help, it throws me off, maybe im a bit literal ( they say the code is " that day" but " that day " is actually a year, not a DDMM combo as "day " would imply,. the formating seems to have been positively updated to be more like resident evil, even the style your character poses and gaits when he walks, but outside of that i dont think the combat has enough polish to make it satisfying. I didnt get too far, but i did get tense when the combat came up, the audio is top knotch and you are constantly hearing the enviroment making you accutely immersed to the experience and on edge to hear any hint of incoming changes and dangers which i thought was cool. overall, it seems like it be a nice indie, but the dlc seem like they could have just been included in the base game, so the selling separate seems a bit scummy to me, and the price is WAAAY to steep to justify for the quality im getting. Id say if they gave dlc included as part of the main game and set a 40 dollar price id say its fair, but ive seen reviews saying they finished it in 12 hours, which could be interesting, but just one and done and put away again doesnt merit 50+ dollars and intentional splitting of content.
What Hyper said. Good game, but not a sequal to The Sinking City. The "lovecraft settings" is also debatable. Things don't become lovecraftian just by stuffing fish into them, goes for zombies too.
