Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

Electronic Arts has finally made this game unplayable by fishing for personal information. I used to buy a lot of EA games. I will never buy another one. I hope they go out of business.
This game is okay and I did love it but the DLCs ruined it. oh you want pets? you wanna make your cat irl? too bad pay us 50+ CAD dollars "Oh but its gonna be on sale" Im bored of the game already. Also sims is a bit too diffcult for me but thats just a me problem

I've been a fan of the Sims since I was old enough to use a computer, I've spent thousands of hours creating a world and then living out lives within it, I've played the Sims on a rickety old laptop, the Playstation 2, Nintendo DS, Xbox, countless PCs. I've created entire legacies, built countless mansions, climbed to the to of every career possible, lived a thousand lives... And this is the worst Sims game I've ever played. Soulless and empty, boring with almost nothing to do. Building options are limited, furniture is sparse, and the world feels void and hollow. Unless you're willing to pay through the nose for every expansion to fill back in the world, then don't bother. I'd have sooner paid £50+ for this game and have it a complete, well fleshed out fun and vivid experience. Instead I can get it for free then pay a solid grand to have fun? No thanks. Don't bother, dust off one of the old Sims games and have some actual fun.
all dlcs for 1 064,86€, thanks i hate it
I spend significantly more time updating and troubleshooting this game than I do getting a chance to play it.
only good with mods... base game is really boring and the customization is honestly really lackluster and you need to pay for SO MUCH STUFF!!! mods make it more fun
EA are scum
creating my fictional ships and making them love each other is fun i guess
If you enjoy games that are a money grab, owned by a company that doesn't care about its player base, and is now filled to the brim with microtransactions then,,, The Sims franchise is just for you! I have been playing the sims on my grandmother’s computer pretty much since I came out of the womb before buying it for myself in 2022 or something. The fact that you could spend 2,300 AUD on this game yet still not have every piece of content is insane. 🙁
I'm gonna ignore what the company is doing to it's loyal fans for a moment, and I'm not gonna talk about the negatives because plenty of comments do that. Instead, I'm gonna explain why I think this is one of the best RPGs around! First off, there are OVER 30 WORLDS you can explore! Yes, the DLCs can get pricey, but people do giveaways all the time. There's also so many ways you can play this game. If you like building, you can do that. If you like gameplay, you can do that. If you like storytelling, you can do that. You can play with the characters in game, or create your own. You can use the builds, or make your own. You can even choose to download a completely blank save and make your OWN version of Sims 4, or you can download other save files from others. There's even a gallery where you can download other people's Sims, Builds, Pets, & Tattoos. And yes I called it a RPG, because so many people forget that it IS a RPG. And it's one of the most immersive & inclusive RPGs. If you use CC and Mods, your options with Sims 4 becomes basically LIMITLESS. And best of all, if you don't wanna buy DLCs, THERE IS A FREE TO PLAY BASE GAME & they give FREE items & FREE updates all the time! Seriously, when it comes to this game, there is almost NOTHING you can't do. I will always have love for Sims & for Maxis.
