Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

Reviews
I am glad they added ads, maybe now people will finally stop playing this it.
If you like building just get Blender or Minecraft. If you want the life part go outside, watch a drama or even write a bad fanfic. On a second thought, considering what people do to sims... don't go outside. Playing The Sims 4 feels like recreating a bad sitcom with the same events, actions and "jokes" that were already old during The Cold War over and over again to your heart's (dis)content. Most new content is a fake corporate "inclusion" or things that should be in the base game, designed soley to separte you from your money. The characters and relationships are so painfully shallow that run-off-the-mill visual novel feels cathartic compared to it. You don't need to actually show any interest, support others or even be romantic. Just spam interactions looping throught the list. Skills? Spam the same three actions in the same order every (or every other) day and you will be Kazuma Kiruy fused with Leonardo da Vinci. Morals are dubious at best. Making a salad at your friend's house or baking for everyone is somehow so "inapropiate" that dude wil come running from his room to yell at you, but leaving literal trash or making out with Summer in front of others is not. Neighbouring Sim had a bad day? They will literally assault you if you try talking to them and that is considered normal in this universe.

EA sold out to human rights abusers and is no longer a public company. if you REALLY want the dlc, anadius mirrored unlocker is still available. otherwise keep your money to spend it on a better game, the dlc arent worth the huge price tag anyway
Minha namorada n quer jogar jogo bom comigo, e tá me obrigando a jogar isso, se vc estiver amor a sua vida, recomendo não criar expectativas sobre vida nerd forte com a namorada, pois ela esfaqueia vc
Honestly a complete waste of money. Almost everything interesting is locked behind overpriced dlc, and the game itself is incredibly buggy.
I spend significantly more time updating and troubleshooting this game than I do getting a chance to play it.
With the buyout, its time to stop playing! ♥♥♥♥ EA.
only good with mods... base game is really boring and the customization is honestly really lackluster and you need to pay for SO MUCH STUFF!!! mods make it more fun
I've been a fan of the Sims since I was old enough to use a computer, I've spent thousands of hours creating a world and then living out lives within it, I've played the Sims on a rickety old laptop, the Playstation 2, Nintendo DS, Xbox, countless PCs. I've created entire legacies, built countless mansions, climbed to the to of every career possible, lived a thousand lives... And this is the worst Sims game I've ever played. Soulless and empty, boring with almost nothing to do. Building options are limited, furniture is sparse, and the world feels void and hollow. Unless you're willing to pay through the nose for every expansion to fill back in the world, then don't bother. I'd have sooner paid £50+ for this game and have it a complete, well fleshed out fun and vivid experience. Instead I can get it for free then pay a solid grand to have fun? No thanks. Don't bother, dust off one of the old Sims games and have some actual fun.
EA are scum
