Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.14/day in the week to Sep 15 → 5.43/day in the week after.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 5: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.57/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

any sims game that isnt the sims 4 is peak in my book
this good
There's *SO MUCH* from this game that never got brought back in the later ones, even Sims3 -- I do think with the updates over the last few years, Sims4 has topped this -- but Sims2 is SO GOOD, you owe yourself to check it out
The Classic Returns
My whole childhood in a game. Over 20 years later and still peak!!
I have to pick a yes or no but if there was a maybe option I'd pick that. Sims 2 is a fun, quirky, little life sim. A lot of pros and cons that will help you decide if you want this (watch gameplay videos REPEAT I AM NOT A PROFRESSIONAL. Sadly, it's a little repetitive since there's only a few aspirations you can pick from. They do actually matter so pick wisely unless you change them. CAS sucks though, four skin tones and limited clothing. little to no afro textured hair, the clothes are fine but its very dated for the 2000s. Do not play for the dress up. Genetics is cool tho, its pretty realistic with dominant and recessive genes. They have a one sided relationship system so you may have a crush on one sim but they might feel differently towards you. You can make drama around but there is no story progression system so you wont be seeing pregnant sims or someone proposing. You're stuck in one neighborhood/world and you can't move sims to other words either. I haven't played around a lot but its a fine game. it hasn't crashed for me at any time when I played so that's a plus. I love family gameplay but I found being a terrible sim much more fun. So making a legacy while being a serial romantic cheater was fun to do. I would recommend if you don't mind being limited to some things, but if you enjoy more of a sims 4 closed yet sort of open I don't think this is good for you. it honestly depends on you and what youre looking for in a life sim because sims 2 has a lot of great things about it such as the genetics, relationship systems, how sims react to another whether its good or not, the detailed animations, also the packs are pretty fun if you use them. It pays attention to small details which the memory system pays attention to and your sim may want a robber DEAD because of that. This last part is just me complaining and whining (ಥ _ ಥ) Also the townies are amazing and unrelated but since sims 4 is a alternate timeline, yes EA I won't forget what you said, I don't see a point in bringing them into sims 4 and like...not doing anything with that? It's just nostalgia baiting with legacy characters. They honestly should've just made new iconic characters instead of dragging them into the horrors of sims 4. okay thats it.
Its a amazing throwback
