Some boards are very bad for certain relics. I would love a game mode which allowed me to choose between 2+ enemies on different boards, perhaps with additional factors to incentivize variety, like a minor in-match penalty when taking the 2nd option (e.g. stricter turn limit or other ascension modifiers). I'm deeply familiar with ChecksMate for Archipelago, a related chess roguelite. The Rookery is ideologically satisfying in a similar way, yet incredibly expansive. I believe I will treasure this addition to the human corpus of art. An example of a particularly difficult combination would be when your pawns start on the distal end of the board, and you have Cloning Vat with Power Pawns. In this circumstance, it's quite difficult to extract most pieces from behind your pawn wall.
Very fun chess game, the chess aspect with powerups and challenges is great, and there are allot of good diverse builds you can attempt. I wish the difficulty option was more like Hades where you would be able to select which debuffs you get. I think a cool one to add would be to have 2 kings, I'm not sure if the AI could handle that, but it handles allot of things with surprising cunning. The way the bosses are able to use their buffs is devestatingly intelligent.

Has great replayability, is special and fun.
nice game
This is a rather silly game, all things considered. It's very quickly a game only loosely based on chess but it's an absolute blast. Chess Simp brought me here!
Good game. Looking forward to more updates!
best chess rogue-like.
This game is great! Best chess rogulite i've played to date! Hope the devs keep updating and add some future content though as it can get a little repetitive.
From the creator of DRAWBACKCHESS, one of the greatest chess modes out there. This is such an amazing SINGLEPLAYER experience :) It's casual enough, but can be made as hard as you like. Lots of creativity Some things are kind of OP, but you don't have to pick it if you don't like being OP XD£ Fun Game, enjoyed it a lot so far
