About

Flock of Dogs is a quirky, top-down, co-op roguelike. Fly through the sky with your dogs, friends, and a floating whale. Everyone is headed to the Flying Festival at the end of the Air River. Battle monsters and help critters make it to the big party.
Procedurally generated, hand-drawn world
Feed, water, and level up your dogs
Pilot a flying whale that acts as your mobile battle station
Descend into caves to fight boss battles against massive Cave Beasts
Encounter critters and folks that need your help on the journey
Take a break with minigames at the dog park!

At its heart, Flock of Dogs is about being a weird world with friends. You can play locally and/or online. You can share a keyboard with one other friend. The progression in the game is focused on the dogs and the whale, so players can join or drop at any time and won't be left behind.
Maybe the best feature is the Friend Slot...

A Friend Slot allows one of your online friends to join you for free! Anyone can download the "Flock of Dogs - Friend's Pass" and then join the game of someone who purchased Flock of Dogs.
One Friend Slot comes with purchase
Invite any friend (and each time, it can be a different friend)
Friend Slots stack, so if two people own the game and are playing together, 2 more friends can join them using the Friend's Pass to make a team of 4.
Flock of Dogs is my little dream world. The music was created by my friends and family. Wherever and with whomever you play, I hope it's a magical flight.

OMG I LOVE THIS FREAKING GAME. Max, you knocked it way outta the park with this, just saying. YES - I DO want to guide a giant sky whale through untold horrors on my flying pack of dogs to usher tiny little who-da-f-knows-whats to their fun little festival - IN 3 DAYS. The Seussian style is amazing and makes me so happy! The items, monsters, and overall concept are fantastic. And the rogue-like elements make me wanna play this AGAIN and AGAIN. Just a fantastic experience and super fun to play with friends. Makes for great times and candid moments.
I did receive a free key for this game to stream on my Twitch channel, but all thoughts and opinions on the game are entirely my own :) This game... is goofy. Really, you should know that just looking at it. You ride dogs. Your base is a whale. You shoot at weird little creatures in the sky, attempting to get to a festival. What's serious about it? My friend and I were laughing the entire time we played. The story is incredibly minimal - you're gathering these tiny little creatures in procedurally generated... dungeons? areas? in an attempt to bring them to a festival. Depending on your difficulty, you are also trying to free band members to go on the stage - however, we died swiftly on normal, so baby easy mode we meant, meaning no band - for which they rightfully ridicule you on when you reach the end. You start the game with a bit of a tutorial, but in my opinion... not enough of a tutorial. We were both very lost when we got to the actual game, BUT, despite our singular shared braincell, were able to figure it out and beat the game our second run. It was mostly straight forward and just trial and error. Despite the confusion, we didn't really get frustrated - if anything, our failures had us laughing more. I will say, this game is buggy. I think the devs are aware, as they have a place in game to populate all teh errors the game has sent itself, and send them along to the devs. Based on the minimal interactions I had with at least one member of the team pre-stream, they seemed very well meaning, and there have already been multiple updates to fix bugs. Despite what at the beginning felt like a GAME BREAKING bug of my friend and I seeming to generate entirely different dungeons (we saw different things on our screens), we still managed to fly our whale to victory and honestly have a great time! One absolute plus to this game is that owning the game allows for a friend to play with you. They simple need to download the friend pass version of the game from the story, and they can join you. Which is great, as I think this game would not be nearly as fun solo. Each key owned allows for one friend to join, so if 4 friends own the game, you can get a full squad of 8! I can only imagine the chaos of that many people - it seems like a great time. I think that the price point of this game is pretty fair. You can keep playing over and over thanks to the procedural generation, and with friends this game is so GOOFY and FUN. I'm very grateful for the chance to have played this game, and definitely plan to again :)
