Just beat the game , love the music, love the gameplay , 10/10 , greatest game ive ever played.
I've had my eye on this one for a while. Super Buster Bros (SNES) was one of my favorite games to play with my dad as a kid and this is the first game I've seen since to revisit that glorious co-op gameplay. Do yourself a quick favor and check it out the full trailer and if it brings a smile to your face, drop a quick share on your socials to support this kind of quality indie dev. At $10 this is a steal, no reason to wait for a sale. Charming art and soundtrack plus a nice balance of challenge, fun, and wackiness. Definitely some 2D boy / Tower of Goo vibes in the aesthetic. Speaking of nostalgia, look at that World 1 map. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ It's an easy core loop to pick up with new twists every level plus high score arcade survival modes that get absolutely crazy. Looking forward to playing the rest of the way through. 😁

A delightful balloon popping mayhem. 10/10
The 19th century author Wilke Collins once said "I begin to believe in only one civilising influence – the discovery one of these days, of a destructive agent so terrible that War shall mean annihilation, and men’s fears shall force them to keep the peace." It is only now I realise that agent is balloons, and inevitably they will come for us all. Very good arcadey experience.
Loads of arcade fun! Can't wait to try it co-op Such a simple premise extrapolated out into something really special.
After 2 long years of waiting, I'm thrilled that this game has finally released! I'm very proud of the development team seeing how far they've come since their college days of Game Development. I haven't been feeling the best mentally but playing GoobnBalloonsDX is a nice bite-sized experience where I can stay focused and not worry about the outside world for a little bit. It scratches that arcade gameplay loop itch while having high replay value with the achievements and unlockable accessories. Goob Odyssey is a nice short campaign experience too that I can beat within a few hours. In this era of so many JRPGs in my backlog with dozens of hours a piece (looking at you, Yakuza), it's nice to have a short-and-sweet game I can beat in only a weekend. There are some UX quirks which should be addressed and patched in future updates, such as the lack of Keyboard UI prompts or the Plus button not being used to open the Menu in Goob Odyssey. However, those are minor and don't take away from the core gameplay experience. When I heard about the Bird&Beans influence, I went back and played that on my DSI. Honestly, GoobnBalloonsDX is a perfect spiritual successor if you are looking for a modern game in that style. The gameplay loop is much easier, and the different unlockable characters give you plenty of variety with how you want to approach the game. Do you want full analog control with Mr. Analog? Feel your inner Shadow as the evil Boog? Or do you want to skip the balloons and use your beak as Pajarito? The choice is yours, and all options are enjoyable in their own right. With the AAA industry collapsing more and more as the year goes on, indie games such as Goob remind me why I enjoy games in the first place: FUN. This game is pure fun in it's own right, and even during it's difficult moments (like the World 4 boss), it's still a blast to play. I know it's a packed month for games and a rough economy, but PLEASE check this game out. It's cheaper than a modern McDonald's meal, and will make you feel better afterwards. I'm very excited to be making a video about this game within the coming weeks, I hope to spread the word about it as much as possible, and I can't wait to see what Iconic Arts is cooking up next!
RAH!!!!!!! I LOVE GOOB n Balloons, definitely adding it to my steam deck! Cute, Fun, Simple, and super creative. lots of fun challenges!!
Great game! Way better than I imagined. The music is absolutely wonderful, and combined with some fun gameplay, it makes for an engaging experience. The silly art makes for a comfortable and amusing experience - the game is a silly fun time, and it embraces it. Before I had realized it, I had been swept up in playing an entire section of levels when I had only meant to play just one. This game makes for a good experience for you and your friends to play together. I look forward to playing it with my friends as well. It has local coop (a rarity these days!) and with steam remote play, it opens it up for you to play with your friends as well. Overall, definitely worth the money.
This game is fantastic. A fun game to play a lot of, or even just a quick stage here and there. It can be very challenging at times, so don't let the art style fool you. Give it a try if you like fun.
The first stage boss didn't have any music but those trees have some big schnozzers. I don't really get the game though. Happy 9/11 btw
