I am a big fan of Owlskip games after discovering them last year, and Ratline is a nice little addition to the catalogue. I do have to admit I missed the voice acting of the previous audio puzzles quite a bit, and was thus excited and quickly disappointed when the surveillance recording system was introduced. Ratline is slightly shorter and less complex than some previous Owlskip games, but a very nice compact story that is engaging the whole way through. I also very much enjoyed the small easter egg references to other deduction games. If you enjoyed this and would like a more audio-focused experience I heartily recommend trying Rivals.

This was a wonderful addition to the growing list of deduction type games. The frame of the game is very good, and incredible in how it references many real life things that had taken place involving former Nazis. The gameplay itself is most reminiscent of The Roottrees are Dead, with a very careful hint system. The later levels do unfortunately feel like they could have been play tested for balance and for typos a bit more, as I felt like I HAD to use the hint system in order to figure out if I was going down the right path or not. Overall I did really enjoy the game, however, and very much recommend it to be played.
knocked by socks all at every turn. Insanely well made detective game; made me feel like Watson when Sherlock tells him "you see but you don't observe"
Good fun and a good time for mystery and deduction enjoyers. A bit clunky at times, but nothing game breaking. The overarching storyline is great, and going back to older cases for new info was fun, but the writing itself and some of the mechanics are a bit silly (rolodex with everything, archive with only relevant results, extremely chatty people on the phone etc). The difficulty is otherwise at a pretty good level, I had a great time figuring out who everyone was and figuring out the connections between everything. What I especially liked was the hint system! Vague hint, then a bit more specific, before telling you where to go look.
