Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 54/day in the week to Jul 18 → 27.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
8 out of 10

The Operator — Quick Review Platform: PC (Steam) Genre: Puzzle / Simulation / Mystery Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A standout puzzle experience --- What It Is The Operator puts you in the role of a remote operator—essentially a digital detective working through cases from behind a screen. You dig through databases, analyze evidence, make phone calls, and piece together mysteries using a realistic desktop interface. It's the kind of game that makes you feel like you're actually doing the job. Why It Works The puzzle design is the star. The game doesn't hold your hand. You're given tools, a case file, and just enough rope to figure things out yourself. The satisfaction of connecting two pieces of evidence you found hours apart is genuinely rewarding. It respects your intelligence in a way few puzzle games do. The interface feels authentic. The fake desktop OS, the clunky database searches, the phone calls—it all adds to the immersion. You're not just solving puzzles; you're inhabiting a role. The layered structure keeps it fresh. Each case builds on what you've learned, but introduces new mechanics or twists so it never feels repetitive. By the time you've played "a couple layers" (as you put it), the game has opened up into something much deeper than it first appears. The Vibe It's methodical. Deliberate. If you want fast-paced action, this isn't it. But if you enjoy the slow burn of untangling a mystery—cross-referencing names, verifying alibis, catching contradictions—The Operator is incredibly satisfying. Bottom Line One of the better puzzle experiences on Steam right now. It trusts the player, delivers great "aha!" moments, and wraps it in a polished, believable package. Highly recommended if you enjoy games like Papers, Please, Orwell, or Return of the Obra Dinn.
probibly the best game i have hever played
Nettes und kurzweiliges Spiel. Interessante Story, leider ohne Speicherpunkte. Würde mich auf einen zweiten Teil freuen.
it could have been a good game but its too short compared to its price. the connection between days are very stream-of-conscisness, which is an unexpected highlight of the game. but the operator's identity is quite easy to guess, so the "detective" part is weak.
