Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 21 → 0.2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The first trial feels a lot like it was handing me the win on a silver platter while still being captivating and a challenge. It really makes you think of your options and learn to make them wisely if you don't want to run out of time. I like the game so far; the change in rules from trial 1 to trial 2 was a bit surprising for me and was an interesting choice though, I didn't expect it to change direction so quick. I haven't finished playing yet but from what I've played so far? I definitely recommend it. It reminds me a bit of Danganronpa in some ways while also being completely different in other ways but it has a similar concept of being trapped somewhere with presumably no escape. Main difference investigation wise is that you have more options to question characters with.

As of the time of writing this review the True Ending was in a beta branch, and may be slightly different in the full update. The Murder Hotel is a game with a lot of broken promises, yet despite that it was still a lot of fun to read through and solve it's mysteries. I'll start with what I mean about 'broken promises'. The game presents a lot of ideas in the first chapter with how you investigate and the time you'll have to do it, however the following chapters are all almost completely different in how the investigations are done that it feels that as a player you are being lied to about how the game will progress. In the end I think that this was the correct decision given how overwhelming chapter 1's investigation is, but I digress. It's a good game despite that, with fun characters and writing (even though some characters are pretty much ignored throughout, and the early game romance where over half the female cast are desperately in love with the protagonist is not great to put it lightly) and overall the murder mystery's themselves are good in their own right. Though, (minor spoilers)
the game did feel pretty arrogant with how it presented some clues with lines such as "no one would have ever realised this about X" despite I immediately clocked onto it... But maybe I'm too familiar with these sorts of games and their little tricks they like to pull.
7.5/10. If you love murder mysteries I'd highly recommend it, but if you are not desperate for one then maybe wait for a sale.
I absolutely LOVED this game! Played with friends and we had a blast doing everyone's voices. Loved the unique investigating and court room mechanics. If you like this sort of thing, you have to try playing this game! Also, can't wait for the Secret Ending to come out!
Great game so far!!!!!
Charming art, sick tunes, fun puzzles, Uminekopilled. They understood the assignment
그런데 이 부분을 영문판으로 해보면 `Why did the teacher scold you?` 라고 자연스러운 문장을 했을때 정답으로 쉽게 처리됩니다.
A very interesting and fun game. I'm quite an enjoyer of detective games so the premise instantly interested me, and I found myself quite immersed in the story and the mystery. The puzzles were interesting and well-thought out, and finding the clues kept me intrigued (though there are some I haven't discovered due to asking stupid/useless questions and wasting the finite time). Tying together some of the puzzles at the end was intriguing, I'd figured some of them out but others were a surprise because I'd missed certain scenes/placements of objects which were explained later, fantastic work with that! As some others have said I did find the normal ending a little anti-climactic and out of left-field (I can kind of see the reasoning behind it, but had figured a different direction), and am currently following the beta for the true ending to see how things pan out. Despite this one slight issue, I found myself really enjoying the game, and I found myself replaying to find the collectibles and secrets. The only other issue I would maybe call out is the lack of Steam Cloud, however I understand this is not a must for a lot of devs, it's more of a personal gripe because I enjoy playing my Steam Deck when away from home and unfortunately am not able to continue my save file when away from my PC, however I guess this is more reason to make different choices this time, so maybe it's a good thing! The references to various games in the genre and others were fantastic, and those and a lot of the dialogue were inspired. I found out during playing this about it being the prequel to your other game, The Donnerwald Experiment, so I find myself intrigued to play that as well after purchasing it since, I'm just hoping I haven't spoiled any particular plot points or callbacks for myself. All in all, in my opinion, a fantastic game, really impressively made and thought out. I'm looking forward to seeing how the true ending path differs, and how my other choices in other playthroughs might affect things. Well worth the money spent!
