The Mermaid Mask

This was a really fun yet challenging mystery! All of the characters were charming in personality, history, and especially in their design. I do appreciate the optional hints as well, as sometimes that small point in the right direction is what I need from a game like this.

an all timer point and click franchise. the humor is on point without being juvenile or too smug with itself. the voice acting is top tier. the character design and animation feel nostalgic and beautiful. most importantly, this game somehow avoids the pitfall of 99% of point and clicks where you make fast progress at first and then suddenly stall out and waste hours revisiting the same rooms and objects with no clear sense of how to advance the game. Mermaid Mask achieves the near-impossible and keeps the momentum the entire time. i felt like i was always making new delightful discoveries and hurtling full throttle to the big reveal. 10/10 🧜‍♀️

The presentation for the mystery and untangling the suspicions is so much more ambitious and I think it largely pays off. Stellar voice cast once again. Some minor qualms about the mystery setup but those barely matter. Introducing 3D for some puzzles helps with variety and the space within which you have to think. All in all, a very fun game with a great cast of characters to spend time with and pick apart the lies to get at the truth.

What a delightful game! I was so excited when I saw the announcement for this game and even replayed the other two Grimoire games in anticipation for this one and man, it did not disappoint. The voice-acting and dialogues were phenomenal of course and the art style was as captivating as ever! This game can be played as a standalone, but I do recommend playing the first two games, just for the hints/references that brought a smile to my face every time :) I had an absolutely lovely time playing it <3

Fantastic game, had a great time with the artwork and the story and reading through the art gallery. The ways The Mermaid Mask related back to Tangle Tower was fascinating and made me want to replay the game. Excited for the next one! There's still some hidden lore about part of the story that I wish would be unveiled in the future.

Mermaid Mask tem um enredo bem intrigante, personagens carismáticos pra questionar, uma arte muito bonita com animações divertidas, vozes muito boas e tem também uma tradução pt-br oficial muito boa! Revomendadissimo! Pra quem gosta de achievements, cuidado: tem três que são fáceis de perder.
