The Mermaid Mask

A great mystery game on its own and an even better follow up to Tangle Tower. I love the art, animation, character designs, and dialogue a lot. The mystery was very cool and kept me questioning but never guessing in the dark. If I were to levy one single complaint, there were a lot of times I'd try to present evidence and it would say "we'll get to that" or "that's right but not quite what I'm looking for", and IMO it would have been better to write the dialogue or have branching dialogue so that if the player is right, they don't have to delay getting to the point they already figured out themself.

Amazing third entry in a Series defined by it's sheer quality of writing, animation, and music.

The Tangled Tower quickly became one of my favorite mystery games on Steam. The art, the music, the writing, all was stupendous. That being said, like many have said before me, the ending and grand reveal was... less than stellar. Which is why it's so amazing to see The Mermaid Mask take everything that Tangled Tower did and amplify it up to 100. The writing is better, the mystery is well crafted, and the climax is incredible and memorable. This is quite possibly the best mystery game I have ever played. The ONLY downside I have is the puzzles can get a bit... trial and error-ey. There are plenty of "ah so that's how that works" moments but a few of them just had me mashing the solve button until I somehow, actually, did it. Regardless the tale this game weaves and how it all fits together is nothing short of incredible. The game makes plenty of jokes at how hard it is to make a sequel to something popular, and while I'm sure it was a daunting task, The Mermaid Mask really did turn out to be truly something special. Absolutely buy it and check it out for yourself if you are curious.

Visual, animações, trilha sonora absolutamente impecáveis, realmente parece um filme de desenho animado, a história também não fica pra trás, o jeito que a narrativa é conduzida te fisga muito rápido, sem enrolações; a conclusão do caso é meio súbita mas achei satisfatória. Dito isso tão bom se não melhor que o último (Tangle Tower), valorizo muito a mecânica de liberdade de exploração que ambos os jogos oferecem, realmente passando a vibe de uma investigação conduzida pelo próprio jogador, bom demaise.

很喜欢这作把线索做成了3D模型，拿到第一个线索发现可以转动的时候感觉非常惊喜(虽然推理的时候经常忘了可以转动而找不到在背面的线索ry) 解密小游戏难度适中，大部分只需要一点耐心认真看看就能过，除了两个文字描述的实在没对上设计者的电波。 这次很早就隐约猜到了凶手，可能是因为玩过前作，大概能猜想到制作组的案件编写偏好了。不觉得这是坏事，反而是一种该系列独有的风味。 很高兴能看到所有角色聚在一起争论以及指认凶手的画面，还有一些全新类型的演出，让他们的个性变得更加鲜活了。 一如既往优秀的美术，自带的artbook也量大管饱。制作团队的碎碎念和设计过程非常有趣而且也能学到很多东西。

Absolutely wonderful game. Just a joy, start to finish.

Great game. Not too but it's really dense unlike a lot of pointing to the adventures, it never feels particularly frustrating. Obviously, one of the big draws is the visuals narrative and just all the artistry that went into it, which is obviously top-notch. Would definitely recommend this game to anyone in the pointing click adventure. The games never particularly challenging but I don't think it needs to be to be good. This is my first game in the series and I intend to play more
