Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A chill JRPG where you travel around Erebonia with your gorgeous and sometimes, privilieged classmates
Theater kids as child soldiers? As someone who likes JRPGS but is not into anime this whole thing was very silly but I'll just roll with it. This was my first entry into Trails and I get it, long-running series are usually best played in release order so I'm missing some context. I did like this but, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, is it slow. The amount of "Come to think of it..." and "Now that you mention it..." where we then recap or have a flashback again and again is amazing. The script is very bloated. I'll definitely continue on through the series over time but am going to have to take breaks. I had read one of the strengths of this series was the character development and I do want to see what happens with this group of dorks. Even seeing the minor storylines with the dozens of NPCs in the Academy and Trista over the course of the schoolyear was interesting. I did find the occasional sexualization and comments made towards some of the female characters very jarring when it happened. I'm really reminded of a combination of Final Fantasy VIII and Persona 3 with the teenagers in a military school and the high school setting with a calendar and the monthly dungeon to clear. I'm not sure what it is about the tanks and trucks but it's very FF VIII and I got an Esthar vibe from some of the art design. (Also the main girl in the key art being mid and the actual best girl being the teacher in the orange dress.) Can't really fault lack of graphical fidelity and weird technical issues with a 2017 port of a 2013 Vita game but there are some oddities with cutscenes breaking when playing at a high framerate. Frequent characters reaching a spot and the scene not advancing. Most were easily fixed by just alt tabbing or tapping the turbo button but I had at least one where I had to go into the configuration and cap the framerate to get the cutscene to advance properly. I hate things like hidden or unmarked quests and when character and plot content is locked behind new game+ and it's literally not possible to see everything on the first playthrough. You're telling me there's 10+ 50-100 hour games in this series (so far) and you gotta get to new game+ to be able to see all the social links? Why is there a token system for links at all? I hate it when any developer does it. I did appreciate the turbo setting for running around in the field.

"Can I start with this one?" - I did and it was a mistake that lead to me discovering my favorite JRPG series out there. What To Expect: After playing the other games and coming back to this one I fell in love with it. While it is much slower of game compared to some other JRPGs. It's very intentional much like Sky 1st is a prologue to 2nd and the series as a whole this game is a prologue to a brand new saga that will go on to rely on many of the past entries. Combat: I am someone who usually finds JRPG combat to be a grind but seeing the progression from the past games really made it feel new and fun. Not just from a design standpoint but from a world building one. It really felt like the combat system evolved in Zemuria along with the whole series gameplay Final Thoughts: Is it my favorite in the series? No not at all but it is a great game that really was able to capture my heart and make me care about its characters and world. Which is what is was trying to accomplish. Also Sara, Towa, and Fie are the best period.

A great game that has allowed me to take a journey into the legend of heroes saga. I have played some of the other Legend of hero's game, but this is definitly my favorite so far. A little bit to bear in mind is that the full journey across trails of cold steel is actually 4 games. Meaning it is quite a journey to go on. I enjoyed most of it and it is a definite recommendation if you enjoy this type of JRPG. The little bond/relationship also gave added value to the game. feeling a bit similar to the persona breaks. (only the feel, the function is kinda different)
9/10
It's pretty boring.
Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is a follow up from the Estelle and Joshua storyline. I have completed the game a looong time ago but just didn't get a chance to write a review. From what I remember, the game is solid; it improved on what the previous storyline did and consolidate combat. I do thing that the story's pacing could have been handled better....a bit slow in some areas. Still worth the purchase. Rating 8/10 MoonlightQ
Uma boa introdução do arco de Erebonia. Uma introdução de mais de 100 horas? Pois é, mas é como dizem: dê tempo ao tempo. Trails é uma série que você precisa ter paciência, e que tudo valerá a pena no resultado final.
The first 3D trails game and i really liked it. I think the story is fine, i just don't understand who the final boss is. Exploring Nord is the worst part of the game, because there is no fast travel yet.
