Hailed as one of the largest, longest and most meticulously detailed turn-based JRPG series of all time, this first chapter in the ongoing Trails saga sets the stage for what's quickly become Ys developer Nihon Falcom's most popular and best-selling franchise in their entire 30+ year history.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Sep 3 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The beginning to one of the best JRPG trilogies I have ever played. The characters all beloved and amazing not to mention the main character, who shines just like sun. it has a bit of a slow star for the first 2 chapters (+ the prologue) but after getting to chapter 3 the game greatly increases the tempo and a lot of unanswered questions start becoming answered, just for more unanswered questions to appear, cant recommend this game enough truly a greatest game of all time.

Best Remake ever made Combat is addicting, might even be beginner friendly for Turn-based beginners! The story is as good as I remembered, NPC actually feel alive just sad that there's no chest dialouge anymore
Over the course of the year I spent with The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, I fell entirely under its spell. Trails in the Sky is a narrative JRPG unlike most I've ever played. It focuses on the small-scale adventures of two main cast members as they journey to become licensed mercenaries in a post-fantasy setting on the brink of industrial revolution. So much care is put into the writing and worldbuilding that it frankly puts many other RPGs to shame. The story is an incredibly slow burn, but its quality shines through at all times to create a feeling not unlike an intimate stroll through the woods with close friends. The tactical turn-based combat is both incredibly deep and fluid while always being intuitive and natural. Exploration never feels hampered by the many combat encounters, and as you run odd jobs through the rough surroundings of the main hub cities, it serves to immerse the player rather than pull them out of the experience. There's not much to the plot of Trails in the Sky, but the story's quality isn't in the plot; rather, the characters in this game are some the most down-to-earth, realistically written characters in their entire genre. Their dynamics are riveting, and it's easy to get the sense that main characters Estelle and Joshua are real people, simply due to how fleshed out their character arcs are. Indeed, Estelle and Joshua steal the show, and are the beating heart of this game. Their familial dynamic is what drives the story, and was enough to bring me to tears by the end of it all. I will miss my time with Trails in the Sky. Though there is certainly more to come in this series, I already get the sense that none of the sequels will feel quite as intimate and comforting as this first entry. 9/10.
玩一会儿闪退一会儿,游戏是个好游戏,有点bug在win11上

Absolute Banger of a classic JRPG.
This game is so good I could die 10/10
Amazing Game. Got hooked Instantly. Just finished Rolent's Quests and Heading to Bose for First time. The NPC dialogues and the way quests are presented :- Chefs Kiss.
