The game is incredibly addictive
I played it for 6 hours straight and ended up deciding to buy the full version to support the developer. There are so many heroes and playstyles that I haven't tried yet. I can just chill and play the game without any pressure, it's really entertaining and helps me relax a lot. I highly recommend everyone to try the Prologue and then decide whether or not to buy the game.

The Last Flame is a roguelike deckbuilder that blends tactical combat with rich, strategic card synergies. Each run offers new relics, heroes, and enemy types, keeping gameplay fresh and challenging. Its crisp pixel art and rewarding progression system make for an addictive loop, though difficulty spikes can be punishing. - Rating: 8/10 – A deep, replayable deckbuilder that will hook strategy fans. - Video Gameplay - https://youtu.be/h-cisLQ9exs - Follow my curator page - https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45547027/
Pick from random line ups, assign random gear, watch random results as game plays itself.

Fun game. However, it's not worth $20, or even $10, without a replay function.
cool game just finished a video on it
The main issue is that the mechanics and synergies are not clearly explained or easy to understand. You never really feel like you know what you're doing, you just click “next,” equip some random items, jump into a random battle, and win… until suddenly you hit a boss that feels impossibly strong. Any sense of meaningful combinations or intentional build strategy gets diluted very quickly. I understand this started as a solo developer project and was released after three years of work. There is clearly a lot of effort and skill involved - especially if the developer also handled the graphics and other elements. However, the fun factor fades fast because the game creates an illusion of variety rather than offering meaningful depth. I bought the game, refunded it, then I played the demo (wrong order I know) and as I was playing the demo again I realized it really does not stratch the itch in my case. Dota Underlords for example, does the same better. Believe it or not.
