Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.71/day in the week to Sep 1 → 39.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The world you knew is gone.
You awaken as the last active Caretaker, a machine built for one purpose: save humanity. Across a vast ocean covering the ruins of Earth, you must recover human seeds, restore the Lazarus Complex, and prepare the next generation for launch into orbit.
The Last Caretaker is a first-person survival-crafting game about systems, choices, and purpose. Every resource matters. Every structure has a reason to exist. Every success gives humanity one more chance.

Recover human seeds and return them to the Lazarus Complex. Manage their growth, restore memory data, and prepare them for life beyond Earth.
Scavenge abandoned facilities, dismantle wreckage, and recycle materials into tools, weapons, power networks, and essential modules. Restore the machinery needed to keep the mission alive.
Rogue machines, hostile systems and the world itself will push back. Repair and maintain, upgrade your equipment, and protect what remains.
Restore ancient launch infrastructure, chart the ocean, gather resources and memories, and send the humans you raised into orbit. The mission is not survival for its own sake. It is a continuation.
Explore silent Sanctuary docks, Refuel Outposts, Underwater cities, and long-forgotten Seed Vaults. The story is uncovered through places, logs, memories, and the remains of a civilization that tried to outlive its own world.

I like evereything about the game but the combat/enemy deisgn. The concept is intriguing, object permanence is nice, mechanics are engaging and it looks fine. But combat is abysmal...it all boils down to zpping a swarm of blobs that are trying to encircle you. After clearing a rig I don't feel like I defeated an enemy I feel like I just washed a gas station toilet. There's no fun and no challenge just labor. As of now the game would've been better with no combat at all but harsher survival. But seriously you need to replace those swarms with autonomous and dangerous enemies. Look up Abiotic Factor, they nailed the enemy lineup. All enemies can kill you, most of them have specific ways to kill. Some of them are completely imprevious to certain kinds of damage and they are all visually distinct so you're not wondering what is that.
The game has a slightly slower pace then most FPS/Builders out there. It took me a few tries to get a good save, but al in all I like the game. It also scratches my "I should get a boat" itch

This game has problems. Lots of them. But despite all of them, it is fun, engaging, unique, with a solid story and fun mechanics. And honestly, the biggest failings of this game are minor. Things like quests asking for sharks, whose names don't match what the quest asks for. There's a few instances of similar issues throughout as well. Outside of that, the only downside is not being able to get a bigger ship. So you are absolutely forces to get creative! Tip.... Build under the boat. Great place for storage tanks!
Graphics: 3.5/5 - It's okay but let's be honest graphics are not totally important. however, I do believe that there are more room for improvements like how the light illuminates the environment because there are times that I get blinded by the flashlight and there are times where the flashlight barely illuminates anything at all. Gameplay: 3/5 - Controls are smooth, the way you collect materials using the tools you craft is satisfying, the grind is passable but the combat however is lacking. The available guns feel weak and the ammo variety is weird. one ammo says it's best for soft targets but somehow it works worse than the default ammo so I personally end up just using the electric rifle 90% of the game as soon as I unlock it. Optimization: 2/5 - My set up is by no means a beast. However, the optimization of the game at it current early access state is quite terrible. I can play the game at 60 fps with everything on max but there will be noticeable dips to 10-20 fps especially once you start getting more and more materials. I assumed this is because the engine is starting to require more memory the more stuff you have lying around but even with a clean boat you can still experience a lot of FPS fluctuations around end game locations. Additionally, (but I am not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this) I have noticed a significant increase in frequency of the game getting stuck on launch right after the Channel 37 logo disappears after the New Horizons update so I hope the devs look in to that asap. Over all: 3/5 - The game is a looters paradise where you could breakdown almost everything and take it with you on your boat. despite its flaws is fun and worth every penny. You can get easily immersed and lose track of time if you are not careful. though the game does have immersion breaking issues right now it is easily forgivable. I can't wait to see what's in store for us once it launches to 1.0 Recommendations for the devs: I hope we get a ship builder in future updates and be able to upgrade the boat, better armor, maybe an automated gun mount to make hunting tech sharks easier and be able to customize our ships even more, like adding a high-low platform on the back, windows and doors at the lower deck. imagine what the players can build with that kind of freedom.
hours fly by when playing this game so much you can do!
I don't normally write reviews but this game scratched an itch I didn't know I had. There's something extremely rewarding about having the free will to sail into a undiscovered location and fill your pockets with so much useless stuff until you're draining the literal life out of you due to the overencumbance (battery drain feels) but boy oh boy does it feel great. Want to toss that box in a recycler?! DONE. Want a portable handheld recycle device to get to the places that are hard to carry stuff out of?! DONE. Want a giant 6 Inch petrol grinder that doubles as both weapon and scrapper?! DONE. With most single player games of this sort I, like most probably spend more time then they should in the starting area being the filthy rats we are scavenging what we can for later use. This game is no exception to this but it goes one step further by allowing you to turn any object that isnt fixed in place in the resources you can use later. To this end I spent the first 10 ish hours of my playtime recycling everything I could get my grubby lil cold metal robot hands on. My partner had asked around this time what the new game I was playing about. Did I have an answer? No. Why? That itch I mentioned earlier some form of buried OCD that this game has brought out in me in which I must now clean everything surface of loose scrapable material in order to be satisfied. Think that little robot who followed Wall E around having a crisis anytime he moved. Do I recommend it? 1000% Best money I've spent on a game in a very long time. In a time where devs will drop unfinished games and charge you full price this is a welcome change. Its got it's minor bugs here and there but such is the nature of early access
I couldn't even navigate the start menu properly due to lag. The performance is the worst I've ever experienced in a game. The first scene ran at 14 FPS, and I have a decently performant PC that can run Cyberpunk 2077 with raytracing set to "psycho" at stable 40-50 FPS. I quit this game immediately after 10 seconds or so. Will come back to it when it's been fixed.
fun game very clean for early release could use more content but every update is brining more and i am playing pre release
worth the price, great game
