Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.71/day in the week to Sep 1 → 39.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The world you knew is gone.
You awaken as the last active Caretaker, a machine built for one purpose: save humanity. Across a vast ocean covering the ruins of Earth, you must recover human seeds, restore the Lazarus Complex, and prepare the next generation for launch into orbit.
The Last Caretaker is a first-person survival-crafting game about systems, choices, and purpose. Every resource matters. Every structure has a reason to exist. Every success gives humanity one more chance.

Recover human seeds and return them to the Lazarus Complex. Manage their growth, restore memory data, and prepare them for life beyond Earth.
Scavenge abandoned facilities, dismantle wreckage, and recycle materials into tools, weapons, power networks, and essential modules. Restore the machinery needed to keep the mission alive.
Rogue machines, hostile systems and the world itself will push back. Repair and maintain, upgrade your equipment, and protect what remains.
Restore ancient launch infrastructure, chart the ocean, gather resources and memories, and send the humans you raised into orbit. The mission is not survival for its own sake. It is a continuation.
Explore silent Sanctuary docks, Refuel Outposts, Underwater cities, and long-forgotten Seed Vaults. The story is uncovered through places, logs, memories, and the remains of a civilization that tried to outlive its own world.

Интересная игрушка. Неспешная и интригующая.
excellent un vrai plaisir a jouer , vaux très largement son prix !!!
Great game with lots of content. a bit of a slow burn. lots of grind and you slowly progress through the story. so if you need things to happen fast this is probably not for you. but there is so much to explore, many places to go and, well, you are farting around in a boat, your not getting there fast. its a bit rough around the edges, but its early access and i feel its way more polished than many other early access games. absolutly worth a try.
TL;DR: If, like me, you're open to early access and taking a risk on a game with amazing potential but that isn't quite there yet and you like the genre (try the demo, it's a very accurate picture), 9.5/10- go for it. If you want to make sure a game has enough content and is well enough fleshed out to merit the price before you buy it, a $15, 9/10 this is an easy purchase (as of the 5.0 release). At $25, 7/10- you'll probably be satisfied unless you're expecting something really polished. At $35, I'd want the game to be a bit further along before I'd want the finished product to look like this. That said, given the progress made and direction devs have taken so far, I expect the finished product will exceed my expectations for that price before the game leaves open access. More detail: On paper, I love everything about this game. I like the setting, the storytelling, the environment, the "feel" of movement, pacing, and I really appreciate the direction the developers have been moving. It nails the vibe in a way that is similar to Subnautica. In practice, something about it still feels like it's missing something. And I'm not talking about the content- they're doing a great job fleshing that out. I don't yet feel a "reason to continue" or an excitement about "the next step". By and large, the advancement system has been separated from what specific things the player is doing. No matter what you do, you grow. I generally like that kind of horizontal growth. Here it feels like spending three times as long combing through every room and recycling every single item is actually more valuable than advancing the plot, as the plot advancement gives nearly nothing in the way of tangible, capacity-expanding rewards. The rewards feel more like a cosmetic than an enhancement. My guess is that part of my feeling of disconnect is that, unlike Subnautica where the isolation is part of the point, a huge part of the premise of the game focuses on human experience and connection. Subnautica didn't need to evolve its atmosphere (though it did a bit) but here I want to actually see that come to life as I progress, rather than read about it in a PDA. Otherwise there's a bit of an empty or pointless feel to real progress. I do want to emphasize though, it seems like the devs are aware of that missing bit of special sauce, as most of the recent updates have specifically gone toward advancing these types of concerns- adding new rewards and lore to late-game progression, adding quests which add life and personality to the world, and adding new movement types and vehicle expansions all work toward fixing my only real "feel-gripe" with the game. Further, the rate at which the devs push out updates and the degree of response to player feedback has been somewhere between exceptional and downright heroic. If you like the genre, this is one of the best models of it on the market even in its current state. If the devs achieve what they seem to be trying to do, it could become something genuinely exceptional. An easy thumbs up from me.
relaxing survival and puzzle game. some shooter, but not solely reliant on that style to carry the game. sound story that allows you to progress at your own pace.
It's fun for what it is, a survivalist/builder style game. No where near as hardcore as say Rust or Ark. You have to maintain your characters Power, which early on does deplete rather quickly. As you play though you'll upgrade your battery capacity and power efficiency which will lead to very long battery life. Like most survival games the early part of the game is just getting established enough to not be running out of power, not need basic things like iron or plastic anymore to build. Then you get to the 2nd phase, expanding your boat and rebuilding humanity. Where in most of these games you build a base to explore from, in this your base is mobile and the foundation given to you. This makes exploring, in theory, more convenient but also means you have limited build space, so choose your gizmos wisely. I say in theory because in reality exploring in this is a chore. The primary issue being no points of interest, other than the handful you start with around you the gameworld is exceedingly empty and bland. This has been consistent across multiple major 'content additions'. I've been with this game since it LAUNCHED into early access, we are at 5.5 now and I'm telling you, other than a few new vehicles, which were in no way needed and have scripted timelocks on them so you can't even access them until you meet certain narrative requirements, nothing appears added, improved or anything. Content wise. I will say the game appears to be running much better, just in general. Cables used to be all over, the boat used to freak out in bad storms, weather was very bland. There is now a variety of weather, it runs much less janky and cables appear to be normal cables. They've fixed a lot under the hood over early access. But I still recommend it, because it is very well made at its core. If you enjoy gathering, building and a bit of fighting, this is a great example of that mix. I only wish it was 2 player co-op, single player begins to feel tedious. A lot of resources require endless gathering, then combined with the fact that things like power sources require repair on a regular basis. Mid/Late game just the upkeep become a chore, but such is true for most survival games that require you to upkeep/repair basic structures. I do run into some performance issues, especially when sailing the ocean and the sea is anything but calm. Calm ocean is fine, but any waves and my FPS plummet. Game runs around 50+ FPS on "high" with ray trace ON but all the special RT features OFF. I average about 60 FPS indoors and about 50 FPS outdoors except for when at sea on the ship. Rain makes it worse and fog seems to make it better.
