About
Lured in by shared nightmares, madmen travel to a remote island crowned by a silent Tower. No one remembers the journey.
The Lantern of the Laughless Saint is an open world RPG built around exploration and connection. You learn the land by walking it, following rumors, reading scraps of burned history, and meeting lost souls who wandered to the ends of the Earth, following the same feverish dream of a light buried beneath the Tower.
Somewhere in the depths is a theater with an empty stage, waiting for an audience. As you repair or ruin the lives of the island's inhabitants, the phantoms they leave behind take their seats in the audience. The more seats you fill, the more the island listens, and the greater the applause for your final act.
And if you don’t want to descend alone, you don’t have to. The entire game is fully playable in co-op: explore the island together, delve into the depths for treasures, and make the choices that will decide the fate of everyone on the island, and beyond...
A wild, ancient island to explore
Follow leads, find shortcuts into the Tower, stumble into side stories, and piece together what is real and what is mere delusion.
Open Ended
Most quests have multiple resolutions. Mercy, violence, compromise, deceit.
A large cast of bizarre characters
Many strange folk find their home on the island. A giant toad learning to read. An ancient skeleton who just wants to swim. A musician from a faraway land hunts for something precious. Everyone has a theory for why you’re here. None of them agree.
The Amphitheater
Your choices change the world. Treat others with kindness and generosity, and a trusted friend will take their seat in your audience. Fail or abuse them, and something darker takes their place. The House fills either way.
Visceral Combat with multiple weapon types
Punchy combat against strange horrors
Full co-op
Play the whole game together. Explore the world, share the spoils, and decide who you will become, because the consequences belong to all of you.
The Tower does not call the whole. It calls the broken, the wanting.
Fill the seats. Start the performance. Find out what is buried at the bottom of the well.

Game is about as low quality as it gets. Step 1: download a game engine. Step 2: download all of the free assets and buy any other cheap ones to present as the game you want. step 3: hire a bot farm. step 4: profit.
F*** YOU TODD HOWARD!
I don't understand the hype around this game. Here it sits for a couple weeks to see if anything new or exciting comes along to make this worth more than $5. I would consider 'Devil Spire Falls' a better buy and it is cheaper. Nothing looks good in this game, just a bleak starting city and bleak landscape. I ran around for 1.5 hrs and did nothing significant, and my progress is collecting a heal spell and getting the first 'house' with 300 weight of storage that is hard to use or even pointless. Maybe the game gets better but who knows. It feels cookie cut, like they've used some familiar layout. Every single menu is an eyesore. You can't sort while storing so if you want to store alchemy ingredients you must click every single one and find it. Anyway, I wrote out a better review last night and forgot to hit post before I left the page lol and just can't be bothered to do it again. This game is getting glazed while objectively it is very mediocre with not a lot to do, at least in the first area. I just can't recommend even $15 for this game, and it is $20.
holy performance hell, 1440p 3070ti r7 5800x 32gb of ram and im getting sub 60 on medium with graphics that look like ♥♥♥♥, and no im not running raytracing aswell. "oh its the artstyle" dont give a ♥♥♥♥ man im getting the same frames as i do when I play dragons dogma 2 on high which is just laughable when the game looks like this.
This game is a delight, and I'm so glad we have another excellent scrolls-like to sink our teeth into! I love the lack of quest markers, so you have to explore and hunt down locations, it's so much more immersive. NPC voicing is good, needs a bit of polish but not bad for early access. I hope that sprinting will be improved by changing the control to toggle it on and off, rather than having to hold down the left thumbstick. I'm really enjoying the story so far, and combat is better than TES in my opinion. I'm excited to see how this project develops and enjoying every minute of play so far!
I beat the game as a naked brawler. At first, I wondered why I chose this build. At some point, I took down a weird big strong bird. After that, the slaughter began. I killed everyone, even friendly units, and the game still let me finish the playthrough.
The only thing this has going for it right now is the *promise* of multiplayer Morrowind. And that seems like a distant promise at this point. The skeleton of the world and the lore is there and, while moderately intriguing, needs fleshing out. The gameplay itself feels like it is still in an experimental state. When multiplayer gets thrown into the mix, the jank and the bugs really start to show. Where the game is not empty, it is full of placeholders and incomplete questlines. This seems more like the quality you could expect from an aggressively early closed beta, not from a product that developers are asking you to pay for. No one should be paying money for this incomplete garbage when functional multiplayer mods exist for Morrowind and other Elder Scrolls titles.
