How to play: -Pick a cool looking dino -Spawn in -Explore -Get eaten by a Deinosuchus getting water -Pick a new even cooler looking dino -Spawn in -Explore a bit more -Remember there are Deinosuchuses in the water -Hesitate to get water the rest of the game -Get eaten by a Tyrannosaurus instead 10/10 recommend would be eaten by a Tyrannosaurus again
The Isle delivers one of the best dinosaur survival experiences out there. The atmosphere, sound design, and gameplay make every encounter feel intense and rewarding. It has a steep learning curve, slow updates, and the occasional bug, but when everything clicks, it's an unforgettable game. Definitely worth it if you enjoy realistic survival games.

If you bought the game years ago and decided to wait until it was good to play (like I did) just go ahead and play now because it sure as ♥♥♥♥ isn't getting any better. Otherwise, do NOT buy it. The loop is designed by a maniac who knows nothing of game design and the systems are mostly either buggy or useless. Crashes are common and performance is so bad it's almost comical. The community is either very chill or extremely toxic, which isn't surprising if you interact with either the dev team or the Official Discord admins for more than 30 seconds. Keep an eye on the game in case we are lucky enough to see the dev team ♥♥♥♥ off and leave the game in competent hands, but DO NOT invest your money in it.
Spent 12 hours growing a Deino just to get pinned by a Rex and watch helplessly as my character does nothing while I die. The atmosphere is genuinely gorgeous, best dino legs in gaming, but the grind is basically a part time job with no pay and the game crashes more than my will to live. Growing up takes forever, food is scarce and dying means starting the whole nightmare over again. Getting grabbed with zero counterplay feels less like a mechanic and more like a personal attack. Fun with friends for maybe a weekend, then it becomes a chore. Not recommended, unless you enjoy suffering as a hobby. [6/10]
If you genuinely wanna suffer because the Devs prioritize ONE singular ability set - be my guest. Has potential but the fact that 50% of the carnivore roster is simply "One button and you're pinned to the ground dead with no counterplay or chance to escape" is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous and quite frankly so boring. Not only that but 50% of that 50% ends up NOT WORKING anyway, so on your end you'll pounce, make it onto the side of a dino - just for the game to suddenly decide "actually no you didn't pounce" and then proceed to leave you just standing there for them to kill you. What a lovely dying simulator.
one of the cheapest baddest game ive ever play. nothing works out everything is bugging and dont forget the squad of t rex full maxes out hunting u. have fun with this peace of ♥♥♥♥.
There is no exact total count of adjectives in English because it is an open word class where people can always create or adapt new words, but not one of them could describe the atrocious optimization of this game.
game was decent when it worked. just lost alot of work on a deino because the game crashed it deleted my croc. dont recommend until its actually fixed maybe when its fully released it might be decent enough to go back to.
Server Quality is absolutely CRIMINAL... Shame on steam for letting them sell this here... games great but the server lag will give you epilepsy.... for real... it should be illegal to sell games on here with servers like that.. its unplayable... never mind the bugs and all that ... its early access that is expected.. but the servers are to far.... like should be illegal for steam to sell this as a playable anything...
my experience: 1) waited for it to install 2) realized there arent any servers 3) found a tutorial on youtube that said you need to install a different version 4) waited for another install 5) finally logged in 6) chose a random dinosaur cuz i dont know a lot about em (especially their names) 7) spawned with a little raptor looking dino, but like 3x smaller then raptor 8) found a pig 9) chased down a pig for 5 mins but failed 10) found a deer 11) tried to kill a dear by clicking left click and right click 12) after 10 mins of chasing and jumping on the deer to hopefully kill him i died becouse he kicked me 13) laughed and gave it another chance 14) failed as a crocodile to kill a pig and died again 15) searched youtube for a tutorial on how to fight 16) realized it doesnt work just by left and right click 17) refunded a game for my first time honestly, the idea of this game isnt even that bad. but for gods sake, WHY CANT A DINOSAUR KILL A DEER?! Also i read handfull of reviews saying it takes hours to get big and the devs are apparently bad. Well games our for 11 years now and its kinda the same lol. Only good thing about this game are the videos u see on tiktok. 6/10 big potencial, ass mechanics (without youtube tutorial you cant even play)
