If you want something of the quality of Frictional Games, forget it, this is not it. The game is not bad but is not that good either! I really fail to understand why it has such high score. Cry of Fear, a free horror game, has way more gameplay, more story depth and quality than this game. The only thing this has above the former, is the graphics. I can't but feel this game is too amaturish for a team that already worked in so many previous horror games, if this was a free game, I wouldn't be this harsh with it, but this is comercial game. *Maybe spoilers ahead* The story isn't much to write home about and can be very predictable. Is a mixture of zoombie apocalipse, but with no zombies, spooky house tactics with some christian beliefs of ghosts, demons and possessions, mixed with HPL Cthulu myths and a kind of obvious fetish, with a sexy gothic girl. The game to me felt like a kind of walking simulator but with some puzzles, very easy ones even, and horror ideas, it also happens in a tiny place, so tiny indeed that you spend the entire game, backtracking and doing fetch quests in mostly the same rooms and corridors. The player character suffers of some rare mental issue that conviniently, makes the developers not need to spend time and effort, voicing most characters and animate their "faces". That btw, he cannot see faces and hear voices but somehow, understands everyone perfectly... The monsters, aren't very hard to avoid and to me felt almost mostly for show, thou aren't totaly harmless, you will also have encounters that are scripted and anavoidable, where you will get asked questions, by the monster/enemy... And lastly the sexy gothic girl, to me she has some really strange belt proportions and her animations, aren't the best either. Thou they claim this game is in early acess... so perhaps things will improve later... or not.
