The world’s collapse and the origins of the Infected are still being developed. For now, the focus is on survival systems and giving players freedom in how they play.
The Infected is in active Early Access development. Some features are still being added and balanced, and you may encounter bugs or performance issues. We’re a small team building this game with the help of community feedback. If you’re looking for a complete experience, you may wish to wait. However, if you want to help shape the development, we welcome you now!
The aim is to deliver a feature-rich survival crafting game with more systems and player choice than most of the genre. Survival can mean farming, base-building, or facing hostile AI — the choice is yours.

Been there since day 1. The game has basically not improved and I do miss the early versions. Enemies where better and the game had a vibe. The vibe is gone and the new map is just too large and has far too many mountains. Gameplay loop is basically micro management for 90% of the play time. Combat is still really clunky and SOMEHOW the graphics of the POIs are worse now. It had a lot of potential but I really don't like it anymore, even though I used to love it. The only thing that still stands out is the excellent basebuilding system.
So, my thoughts after a few nights of playing it is someone who played the darkness falls mod for 7 days to die on one life and got bored. With several thousand hours on 7 days, going on 8k hours on rust which is brutal, sons of the forest and maybe a bit of day z. The AI is so brutal in this game as others have said that I totally had to turn it off as I almost lost my entire base over and over the last two evenings and could not progress in the game. Hopefully the devs read these comments because this is over the top and I feel like I wasted ten bucks on a base building game because it is too tough to start. Oh, and if you ever played raft? This is the water drinking and food eating simulator where you have to drink five gallons of water and eat ten thousand calories to live.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I bought this game not too long after it became available and played many hours (150+) but, found the game's pace to be just too slow. Between the ancient inventory interface and the overly-laborious crafting system, I found the game to be too much of a slog to progress and put it away for a while, thinking the developer would receive enough feedback from the player base to improve it. I just tried this game again after a couple of years away and was really disappointed with the same poorly designed inventory system, reliance on clicking buttons and/or drag/dropping items. Further, the crafting system is not well thought out, especially for early game where survival is made overly difficult by placing barriers on simple things like making a bow quiver (i.e. you can make a bow and arrows but, can't use either without a quiver which, is locked behind a technology wall). Very disappointing. A small piece of advice for the developer: Games that seem like as much work as real life aren't well-received, even by people who have lots of time to play. I have several survival games in my library some with thousands of hours played over several years. While I like your game and hope you improve it, you really need to invest some time in adding a modern inventory system including more stackable items and key-mapped shortcuts rather than buttons.
Genuinely, the ONLY thing stopping me from really playing this game is that it’s single player. My wife and I love these games and we’re super bummed out to find that we can’t play it together. Definitely an odd choice for a survival game. We’ll be giving it a play through if it should ever get multiplayer, but I doubt that’ll ever be a thing. Strictly due to the devs promising that multiplayer will never happen is likely the main reason the player count is so low. And why it gets a thumbs down.
really wanted to give it a try but one stupid thing after another i just can't go over anymore... tech unlocks are all over the place, if you don't do your research you will waste time crafting useless items because the finished product is blocked by a tech you don't already have ,you are allowed to craft the most expensive parts of it before that. like the pickaxe / axe iron heads but can't put them on a stick without an advanced workbench yet you could make a saw table using only logs somehow... then ther's the bow and arrow that you can craft and just look at it because you can't use it without a quiver which is locked behind some other tech . last i found the atv and thought "hmm this might make it easier to plow trough the stupid things and actually enjoy the game... " but nope, ther is some crazy head woble that makes me sea sick riding it and then after i go trough 5 min of that BS i found out that the " infected" probably got they'r name from lead posining somehow because they could stop the ATV dead in it's tracks from top speed.. well that was the last straw. EDIT: oh and the ATV only has fuel for going a quarter of the map( which is already too big for how hard it is to travel before the ATV) and getting more is locked behind a bunch of other tech .
Well, not a lot to say here. The word is empty. Very few interactable items, carry weight and backpack management, hardly anything stacks. Controller support is absolutely abysmal, and menu dancing with keyboard and mouse is annoying. I's a pain to control. All of the assets feel cheap and thrown together, there's just.... nothing unique or enjoyable. Just poorly assembled environments, no atmosphere, and random pigeons dropping dead on my doorstep every few hours. The community is eerily quiet, especially for how many reviewers have HUNDREDS of hours in this game. It feels like a trap, and a poorly made one at that.
I play it slow and cozy. No hoards, no base attacks. Just fighting in the villages and randomly in the woods. Base building and subsistence farming. A break from the real, hectic world.
Around 70 hours in. Game is instantly boring now. There just isn't really anything to do once you surpass day 45 or so. The game is rather flat and one dimensional. Caves are ALL the same. Limited variety in item loot across the map. Graphics straight out of 2004. CPU player intelligence about as dumb as they come. Sure you can modify when attacks come, how strong they are, and how many attack. But even that lacks as your only real defense are spike traps. And everything gets hung up on those and die instantly so adjusting horde attacks is redundant and pointless. Your weapon choices are a spear, katana, or arrows. One shield choice. Simply not a game to keep playing once you unlock all tech. Not worthy of a purchase.
I wanted to love it, but i just cant. Things are wonky and shallow. No intention to add Co-op, which is fine but there has to be enough to keep you busy solo. I keep waiting for updates and improvements, but so fart its just more building materials. So far just another generic survival game that's just not different or good enough.
