Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.71/day in the week to Aug 2 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Takumi Sumino is a totally average teenager living in the Tokyo Residential Complex, a place where every day is much like the last and nothing bad ever happens. All that changes when freakish monsters attack the town and start wreaking havoc. A strange creature calling himself Sirei appears and offers Takumi the power to protect those he holds dear... All he has to do is stab himself in the chest!
The next thing he knows, Takumi is in Last Defense Academy, a school in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a wall of otherworldly flames. He and 14 other students have been drafted into the Special Defense Unit, a team tasked with keeping the school safe for the next 100 days. How much are they willing to sacrifice to take back their normal lives and save the world from the grotesque school invaders?
The curtain rises on 100 days of war and despair...
Takumi's choices will decide his future, but there's no telling what kind of consequences these decisions might have...
When the invaders attack, it's up to you to protect the school in SRPG battles.
Use each student's unique Specialist Skills to turn the tide of battle in your favor!
Spend time with your teammates to deepen your bonds, or explore the wilderness and ruins outside the school.
You can even use the items you find to craft gifts and get even closer to your allies!

one of the most insanely amibitous games i have ever played. sometimes dragged down by its own weight, but overall an incredible experience that i'm glad i was able to invest such a gargantuan amount of time into
I loved Danganronpa back in the day and while I still love the games, I kinda felt that I aged out of them. I tried Rain Code a couple years ago and it didn't really scratch the itch for me. This game took me a second, but I absolutely LOVED it. I thought all the characters and dialogue were weird and goofy at first, but I really grew to enjoy it. The game does a great job of making you enjoy the characters and the depth of the story. This game is far more MASSIVE than I had thought it would be. I'd recommend to any Danganronpa fans past and present.

A true masterpiece. You can tell Kotaro Uchikoshi & Kazutaka Kodaka made this game together. You can feel the spoils of war from all their previous titles ( Danganronpa, Raincode, AI somnium files & the zero escape trilogy) it is just another piece of greatness that once again enters the You are the not same person you were when you started this title camp. That is provided you do play the entire game. Nothing is without sin though and this game suffers from some major issues. The first one being the lack of a true fast forward option/poor pacing. Once you complete the very first run of the game it changes fundamentally from just a
regular turned based strategy Visual novel to now a hunt the ending/timelines down. Now your actively trying to get all the paths/routes done.
Some people will be smart about it others won't. Thats not where the issue comes from. It derives from the fact that you
have to run the cycle so many times with no real blitz/skip. You can fast forward normally but if nothing happens for 40 days except free time let me skip that especially on a different route. In a way its intended. Its the same issue KH 358/2 days had. Both games require you to do a mindless everlasting grind intentionally from a story standpoint. It allows you to bond and get close to these people. They want you to form the tight bonds. And they also want the fatigue that comes from doing this. In both cases it allows the story to hit harder and be emotional. John Doe is gonna be upset when he spends entire timelines with them over someone who read or saw a video about what happened. 358 becoming a movie is why it doesn't hit the same anymore
and I get they were going for that here but it kinda leads to such a low player retention for end game. Most people don't finish this game. Let alone get close. Which is sad they'll never see that one ending we all wanted to see. But that is sort of the other major problem. After beating the game/100% the game its basically the same in this case. Theres no extra anything. No epilogue or extra answers. It leaves you feeling even more empty then normal. Hopefully danganronpa 2x2 can give us further answers. I still recommend the game but I know the average person is not going to stick it through for all of it. I barley was able to myself. It was so worth it and very cathartic but the next best thing is playing as much as you can then looking into the rest of the information yourself through videos or reading. Imo the best way to run the events of the game is after the
og run. Go upwards on the flowchart and focus on all the "♥♥♥♥♥♥ up" routes. Before going south on the funnier/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fluff & way more Slice of life. It breaks it up nicely since you will returned to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ and you don't get obliterated by the comedy route early.
Also Ill give them props on that bait & switch for the romance. Most of the entire game
(Save for certain routes where other girls are the focus) its all about Nozomi and it always goes back to her. But the final route the one to be the "last" one totally 180s it into best girl Hiruko which if you didn't think she was the goat before. You will think so inevitably.
I'm craving a whole frog right now.

I should have researched the game more I mean visual novel before buying it...
