Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 9 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

AWESOME
Bought it for pure nostalgia as it was very cheap. Played a quick session just for remembering old times. Then played it again in coop with my partner and it was ridiculously fun.
What a blast from the past! I might need a new mouse and damn....all those years later my reaction time is not was it used to be as a kid. Now please do a Virtua Cop ! I'd even pay 60€ for a proper remake! Always been the better railshooter even tho this one is still pretty fun ! Runs also stable and everything you expect from a software. Also important: WIDESCREEN SUPPORT! 21:9 works like a charm which sadly is still not the norm.

It's an ok game at least somehow plays better than the second remake which is funny Also, I kinda like the new tracks, yes, even the Bootleg Magician Theme overall, at least a fun experience in short bursts
So good Remake . Hope we can buy Syphon Filter Remake by Forever Entertainment S. A.
Pretty fun but so much better if you mod it and give yourself other weapons. Would absolutely not recommend at this price though.
The House of the Dead series is something that takes me back when I would go to my local arcade in the summer. Random side story but my sister used to work at the local arcade and she would give me quarters to get tokens and The House of the Dead was one of the few games I dumped my time into. Those are certainly fond memories to me. So when I heard about this game being remade, you can imagine my excitement. And for a remake that came out of left field, I was really looking forward to putting some decent hours into this game. Unfortunately, this remake does not make the cut for me and here are my reasons why starting with the pros: Pros: Decent graphics Good music Kept original story Easy to play Fun scoring system Cons: Very short Not a lot of content Non-Classic feel Extreme blood effects No classic mode Very short - While this will be the weaker of the cons, the game can be completed in less than an hour. It almost feels like you’re rushed through the game while back then it certainly felt like a journey going through it. The game overall feels like it just wants you to get to the end to get it over with Not a lot of content - While having horde mode is a cool addition, along with having different guns is a cool idea. However, it doesn’t make up for the lack of having anything extra. If you took those away, you just have plain Jane and nothing else. If it was me I would have added some fun daily missions or weekly challenges to earn different awards. Either that, or you can play a side mission where you can play as Curian and go through his journey. Non-Classic Feel - I already tapped on this portion, but the game doesn’t feel like the classic House of the Dead series that I remember. The game feels like a slog to get through and I feel nothing when I play the game. Extreme Blood Effects - This is a minor con, but if you notice the blood effects they look absolutely crazy. Almost to the point that it’s a bit annoying and if anything it takes me out of the game. No Classic Mode - This is the biggest con for me. I am not a game developer, but I can’t help but mention and ask why this wouldn’t be added. As I discussed at the beginning, not being able to play in a classic mode where the graphics and sound effects can be switched on and off. There’s no charm to the game. Speaking about the sound effects, the game's sound is extremely weak. There’s no impact with the sound and everything sounds very compressed and it ruins the overall experience. An example would be when you shoot the zombies that look like bikers; (the ones with the ball and chain) in the arcade cabinet if you shot the ball it would make a very audible pang sound effect. In this version there’s nothing. To conclude this review, this game could have been so much more. But unfortunately, the game lacks the classic feel that the original had. While I might be wearing rose tinted glasses, it doesn’t excuse this terrible remake of the original. I would not recommend this game, if you end up buying it like I did; play the story and ask for your money back.
It's modernised enough to control with a mouse and enjoy the shooting (light guns being sadly very rare and obsolete). The graphics, voice acting and atmosphere - all absolutely incredible, it's a cheesy version of the Spencer Mansion and fantastic as an exploitation romp without much serious intention. This is all the original needed - polished visuals to current standards, an option for pinpoint mouse accuracy to experience the original and a cheap price point to easily enjoy something which used to cost much more at an arcade... I loved House of the Dead 2 and 4, I'm happy to see 1 is on level with these and as obnoxiously 'B'. If you like 80's b-movie absurdity, zombies and creepy mansions, this is perfect for you.
