Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0.29/day in the week after.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pretty good old school survival horror. It plays and feels just like the original RE games. Cheesy voice acting but apparently it was made by one dev. Good attention to detail in the level design and the navigation was pretty good, only got lost a couple of times. If anyone likes fixed camera horror games you can’t go wrong with this. I’ve only gone through with one character but it has the same Chris\Jill parallel gameplay with some subtle changes. My only complaint is sometimes the move forward button (D-Pad UP) would get stuck as if I was turning right or left. Didn’t happen enough to ruin the game but it was a bit annoying. I tried multiple controllers with the same results. Ran awesome on the SteamDeck.
So while this game is super atmospheric and the map design is top notch this game is just meh. I'm a survival horror veteran, I've beaten everything from Haunting Ground to Obscure to Eternal Darkness and all those games have very vague puzzles but non as asinine or as frustrating as this. A freaking cue ball?! What could that possibly hint towards? This game is a very solid attempt at Survival horror but not quite good enough for my tastes. 6/10

Oyuna sadece 6 dakika dayanabildim. Kontroller çok kötü.
Plays like an old school Resident Evil. Alex is a lot more likable. Haven't played as the other one.
A great throwback to the roots of the horror genre. The Hotel is ripped straight from the 90s. Tank controls, limited ammo and inventory space, zombies, cheesy dialogue, B movie voice acting, backtracking, key hunting, puzzles, looking for items that glint in the dark whilst wonder what on earth you've missed. And for that it's a brilliant little game. This game was made over 3 years by one person, which upon booting up the dev rightly put that badge of honor on their chest to let the player know. It really is a tremendous achievement and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. You play as Alex, who seems to be some sort of hotel reviewer along with his wife judie. They basically show us to this hotel and knocked out by the owner and all hell breaks loose when you wake up. Story wise it's nonsensical and there isn't much there. Side characters and main characters are pretty much throwaways however this is not what this is about. This is a game that pays homeage to the classics and it does it really well. The hotel itself doesn't seem like a hotel in that it's a sprawling place filled with strange rooms, studies, a massive underground system below with numerous different rooms, sewers and medical facilities. We have strange keys and a strange machine with weapons in it in the lobby area. I certainly don't think I seen many guest rooms. Anyways ill quickly point out my pros and cons. Note the voice acting and dialogue aren't put in as a con as this is intentional and paying homage to years and games gone by. Pros: Setting - a multilayered hotel full of rooms and corridors. Mazelike at times but not difficult to get around. Atmosphere - for the most part absolutely nails everything you want. I'd have preferred more gore and blood soaked walls though there are still enough. Score - the music in this game was really well done. Graphics - the in game graphics fit really well with the setting and overall style of game. Controls - loved the old school tank controls with point and stand still and aim. Cons: The aiming - can sometimes feel off and easy to miss shots. It was like this back in the day though but sometimes feels you're missing when aiming right at the enemy. The flashlight - pretty much useless. The lighting in general is fine but the flashlight is just poor. Story/final sequence - it is sadly the overall weak point but I can't take much off it for that. However the final sequence does make a hard left turn and we get QTEs and an underwhelming final fight. Bosses - the bosses you just fill with bullets. Ammo is limited but I had enough. They don't do much damage and the game is very generous with health pickups. Overall the game is well worth your time if you're into the old school horror. It's not devastatingly scary like SH and RE but it does a great job with the nostalgia. And there is a second campaign as Judie which I will also play!
Это крутая игра
I was loving the game however when I got to the staff room and saved my game it froze when I saved it! I shut the game down and when I tried to load my save hut it wouldn't load as of it was curupted 😭 my old save works just fine but I was way back at the start of the game Such a shame I'm gutted because I ain't going back, I'm still going to recommend it because so much effort was put into the game
This game is a really nice surprise ! I played the demo and liked it, but I wasn't totally invested. I decided to buy it and I litterally did 3 runs in a row. The story is pretty cool, but the atmosphere and the gameplay remind me so much of the old school survival horrors, it's a gem. And when you remember that it's the work of only one developper... It's amazing ! This person is so talented. Thanks for The Hotel, I hope for a sequel, or a new Survival Horror from you !
Great game. Truly impressive for a single dev effort, specially the graphics and the general game design. Recommended to anyone that enjoys classic Resident Evil gameplay.
