The Haunting of Joni Evers

That´s a really surprising masterpiece. The thoughts on how you can deal with a family and how healing by forgiving works- it´s really well made. They´re cases where this is more dificult but this are the steps.. understanding what they wentn through- who they are and than by understanding is possible to forgive and make yourselve free again. Thank you developers!!

Game stopped working and went black midway through my playthrough. Tried to verify the files and that did nothing. I wouldn't recommend until its fixed.

This game had a great story and the voice acting and writing were awesome. Kind of cool to see a game use emotions and empathy in its puzzle design.

Beautiful, atmospheric game. The music was excellent, and the voice acting top notch. Helping Joni explore this large, mysterious house, attempting to uncover the supernatural events of the night can be a slow, almost meditative exercise in the beginning, but as you dive deeper into the house, you find Joni dealing with some much bigger issues. A great story of confronting the past, unresolved emotions, and understanding complex relationships. The game picks up significantly in the later sections, as you find yourself begging to know more about the characters that surround her, literally picking up the pieces, and learning what happened before. It is a short experience, I beat it in a one sitting, but it felt like the right size.

Just finished the game and let me start from the beginning... - I need to thank its_kris_bro for making me play this game. Time became insignificant while playing, Joni's voice is very soothing, the story is interesting and the characters, despite not being there in person, are so fleshed out. Every single one of them is so interesting, so human, it's very easy to relate to them. - I adore your attention to little details that just elevate the story higher. Like, for example, The Hermit tarot in Noreen's room. The little nod to your studio in ,,Searching for the Causeway''. Reading every single paper I could find in my first playthrough didn't feel like a chore, I enjoyed it. There is also so much interesting lore that could be potentially expanded in another game, if you ever plan on making a sequel (maybe seeing Sara or Lilith take on their own version of Skull man or reuniting with Joni). - The game was short, but I enjoyed every second of it. As you said in the game ,,Things DO get better.'' The ending was nothing short of beautiful. Happy Holidays, Causeway Studios! Congratulations on making such a beautiful, wholesome indie game.

So I just finished The Haunting of Joni Evers, and I’ve gotta say… I loved it. Not in a “wow, that was scary” way, but in a “this understands something about me” kind of way. It’s not really horror in the usual sense. There’s no big bad, no monsters popping out. It’s about trauma, and how it lingers in ways people don’t always see. That quiet, personal kind of haunting. Without spoiling anything, Joni’s story felt oddly familiar. That sense of carrying too much, the isolation, the emotional weight of being the one who always has to be “okay” when everything else is falling apart… yeah. Been there. Still kinda there, to be honest. Watching her navigate that house, piece together fragments of memory, it was like watching a version of myself who finally gets a moment to heal. Huge thank you to its_kris_bro for getting me this. I probably wouldn’t have found it without her, and I’m so glad I did <3 If you’re looking for something short, emotional, and quietly powerful, this is it. It sticks with you, in that soft aching way, quite wholesome too!

This game was amazing, and the graphics and storyline were great. I will definitely be recommending this game to everyone.
