Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

This game does what very few games do, accurately give you an authentic WW1 strategy experience. It is a grueling, frustrating, horrific slog, and you will lose massive amounts of your troops to take just inches of ground at a time. Unfortunately for me, this isn't something I want to play. I wasn't expecting it to be so... authentic in how frustrating and slow of a grind it is to make any progress against the enemy. Hammering the enemy with heavy artillery only to find that the enemy is still very much there and you lose entire waves of infantry assaults is very authentic to a WW1 experience, but for a seasoned strategy game player like me, its ragequit inducing to lose entire divisions of troops to an area you timed to raid after hammering with dedicated artillery strikes. Aside from my own strategy grievances, it's disappointing and boring to have to fight on the same map every single engagement in the game's campaign, whereas skirmish mode has multiple maps to choose from. There are mods that fix this, but this should be a basegame feature. This game isn't for me, but it isn't a bad game at all. I see what it's trying to do, and it does it decently well; I'm just not a fan of it myself and I'll be requesting a refund while leaving a recommendation for thsoe who want an authentic WW1 strategy experience.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 11 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a fine RTS game with active pause and different gameplay speeds - perfect for older players. Really like how close it gets to the terrible reality of WW1 warfare. Also, strikes a nice balance between depth and accessibility. Highly recommended.
bei dem spiel funkrtioneiert nichts realistisch
Boring WW1 tactics. Outdated game graphics from WW1. Good but very repetitive music. Nevertheless, at the end we have a decent historical WW1 game.
Wird nicht gepatched und wurde unbalanced einfach zurück gelassen
It sucks cause this game had an amazing idea and was a pretty good ww1 strat game, however it hasn't had any updates for 3 years now. I wish this game got more updates or at least had a bigger modding scene, however it is just wishful thinking at this point.
they killed the game, had a potential that was just poured down the drain
Really fun game. Only took one battle with staggering losses for me to get flashbacks from the "Great War" YouTube series and my reading of Martin Gilbert's "The First World War" to realize that to "win" this game is to hold firm in your trenches. Overall it's an interesting visual to apply your WW1 history knowledge to and the gameplay feels fresh to other RTS/RTT games.
Got this game at launch several years ago. Have always loved it, but I hate that it's been abandoned. I cannot, in good faith, recommend it to anyone for that reason. There's so much that this game could've been had it received support passed several months after launch. I still play from time to time, but it always ends up in me getting bored due to the game being the same every time.
This game is great. Probably the best WWI game I've ever played. But despite the thumb up, I don't recommend it. Let me explain. This game fully captures the spirit of the endless grinding trench warfare that marked the Western Front. You will sacrifice thousands of men, expend massive resources, and claw out a "great victory" over a sea of dead bodies... and, after spending the better part of an hour managing such a battle, the frontline will have barely shifted. Because a region only changes hands after multiple consecutive "great victories" - and no minor or normal victory will suffice - so you better get ready to dedicate a whole evening for one (1) little hex on the map. Hours of meticulous planning and expensive resource stockpiling and thousands of conscripts fed to machine guns, just to inch your lines slightly forward. This is by design, I think, and it's both brilliant and kinda soul-crushing to actually play through. And here's my hot take. Games don't need to be fun, just like movies don't all need to be comedies. A game can be an informative and sobering experience, and this game definitely does that when it comes to capturing the grim nature of the Great War's Western Front (ooo title drop!). So if you're looking for a fun trench-themed tactical fantasy that will leave you feeling like a clever winning commander, maybe look for something else. But if you're looking for an *experience*, then give this a try.
