Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Jul 31 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

GOTY
Developed and published by Sonderland, The First Million offers a refreshing combination of idle progression, incremental mechanics, and roguelike deckbuilding that turns the pursuit of financial growth into an engaging strategic challenge. While its premise revolves around earning a million through increasingly efficient income engines, the real appeal comes from learning how individual cards interact and discovering creative ways to multiply profits. Rather than delivering a straightforward idle experience, the game asks players to think carefully about every decision, making each run feel like an evolving puzzle where experimentation is rewarded. The concept is easy to understand, yet the layers of strategy gradually reveal themselves as players unlock more tools and become familiar with the game's economic systems. The gameplay centers on constructing a deck capable of generating wealth through powerful synergies instead of relying solely on passive accumulation. Every card contributes something unique, whether it enhances earnings, improves efficiency, or amplifies other effects already in play. Finding combinations that transform a modest economy into an unstoppable money-making machine becomes one of the game's greatest strengths. Even when a particular run ends unsuccessfully, it rarely feels like wasted effort because permanent unlocks expand future possibilities. This steady sense of progression keeps motivation high, encouraging players to refine their approach with each attempt while gradually gaining access to stronger cards and more advanced strategies. Replay value is one of the title's strongest qualities. Since no two runs unfold exactly the same way, adapting to available cards and making the most of each opportunity becomes essential. The growing selection of unlockable content constantly introduces fresh possibilities, preventing the gameplay from becoming repetitive despite its incremental foundation. Players who enjoy optimizing systems will appreciate experimenting with different deck compositions, searching for overlooked combinations capable of generating enormous profits. The roguelike structure also ensures that each restart feels meaningful, as accumulated knowledge often proves just as valuable as newly unlocked content. The progression system extends well beyond the initial objective of reaching one million. Additional challenges and higher difficulty levels provide long-term goals for players who wish to master every mechanic the game has to offer. These increasingly demanding scenarios encourage efficient deck construction and careful planning rather than simple grinding. Unlocking stronger cards through successful challenge completion creates a satisfying feedback loop where skillful play is consistently rewarded. Even after completing the early objectives, there remains a compelling incentive to continue refining strategies and pushing toward increasingly ambitious financial milestones. Another welcome addition is the daily challenge mode, which places every player under the same conditions by providing an identical selection of cards for each day's run. This feature shifts the emphasis toward strategic thinking and optimization rather than randomness, giving players an enjoyable opportunity to compare approaches and maximize profits under equal circumstances. It serves as an effective reason to revisit the game regularly while adding a light competitive element that complements the primarily single-player experience. Visually, The First Million favors simplicity over flashy presentation, and that design choice suits the gameplay remarkably well. Menus, cards, and statistics remain easy to read, allowing players to focus on planning their next move instead of navigating cluttered interfaces. The minimalist style keeps attention on the mechanics themselves, making even complicated economic engines manageable as the number of active effects grows. While the presentation may not impress players looking for elaborate graphics or cinematic effects, it succeeds in delivering clarity where it matters most. The game is not without limitations. Its heavy emphasis on optimization and repeated experimentation means that players seeking story-driven adventures or fast-paced action may find the experience less engaging. Progress during the opening hours can also feel measured, particularly for newcomers still learning which card combinations produce the best results. Fortunately, patience is consistently rewarded as the available strategies expand, making later runs far more dynamic and satisfying than the initial attempts. Overall, The First Million successfully blends the addictive nature of incremental games with the thoughtful decision-making of roguelike deckbuilders. Its rewarding progression system, impressive replayability, meaningful permanent unlocks, and emphasis on strategic experimentation create an experience that remains engaging long after the first million has been earned. Although its minimalist presentation and mechanics-focused gameplay will primarily appeal to fans of optimization-heavy titles, those players are likely to discover an enjoyable and surprisingly deep indie game that continues to reward creativity and persistence over many hours. Игра как минимум стоит своего того времени что я ней провел, да есть тактики с помощью которых можно пройти всё. Будем ждать дальнейших обновлений/изменения баланса и т.д.
Its a good game for what it is, it however also breaks completely apart once you realize the interactions between the cards, so its more a case of going for the various challenges and "completing" everything.
Yes please
Very fun game that I enjoyed completing. I am eager to see updates that balance and add to the difficulty & complexity. Will happily revisit if achievements are added and I lose my 100% completion status.
If this game had fun cards to play, with cool effects or synergies, it could have been decent little incremenetal. It does not have fun cards to play.
I enjoyed the game until I won. Then the game nerfed the strategy I was using by 20% until I play a different strategy. While the idea of needing to have two different strategies is not the end of the world. The fact that the game forces it kinda ruined the fun. You find a build and perfect it after multiple runs then it wins you a run after all that work. Instead of being able to test it again, you are immediately punished by the game for winning until you do it again but different.
Fun incremental card builder that actually manages to entice the player with new playing styles as you unlock more cards. The game starts out pretty simple but you start getting more and more interesting cards and combinations as you move through the difficulty levels. Even if you ruin a run by misjudging the setup or simply bad luck, you walk away with new incremental currency to slowly supercharge your existing cards, making the player constantly re-asses strategies. Highly recommended for people who like simple-but-solid card builders with an incremental twist to it
