About

The Final Ascent is a build-first roguelike deckbuilder that focuses on planning, strategy and experimentation. Climb through several areas and make your own path into the Tower. The higher you climb, the harder the encounters become as rule-changing Affixes start making each encounter more dangerous. Each choice could be your last.

• Blood Mage: Powerful attacks, card draw and energy gain for a price. Apply bleeds, drain life back and fight on the edge of power and survival.
• Guardian: A defensive powerhouse that shakes off enemy attacks effortlessly. Stack shields, build thorns and watch your enemies struggle to inflict damage.
• Berserker: Dominate any encounter with high single-target damage and multi-target attacks. Stack strength and overwhelm your enemies quickly.
• Trickster: Be rewarded for planning ahead and strategizing in every encounter. Utilize low cost cards, apply debuffs and cycle your deck to continue playing.

You are in control of building your deck your way in The Final Ascent. Pick 10 starting cards and begin your climb. You establish your strategy from the very beginning. As you play, cards and equipment you earn after a battle become a part of your collection, becoming available for use in subsequent climbs.

Compete against others in the Global or Per-Hero leaderboards. Chase the top ranks or chase a personal best and prove yourself.

Reviews
First of all, for the price, this is a well made and finished game that is fun and addictive with a good amount of replay-ability, made by a small indie team. 10/10 This game is a really fun card game / turn-based action RPG. I really like the fast paced combat and the opportunity to create combos with the cards. Unlike a lot of other games in this genre I love that you retain your cards and equipment obtained as rewards from your tower runs even after dying. There is a leaderboard as well so you can compete against your friends and all the other players playing the game. So you get a good amount of replay-ability by obtaining new cards in better qualities, the gear to help round out your build, trying new builds, climbing the tower all the way to floor 100 and then competing for #1 on the leaderboard. You get to do that with all four classes which I have had a lot of fun doing and continuing to do. Imo this is a no brainer purchase, they could ask for twice as much money and I think it'd still be a no brainer. If you read this entire review, just get it. You'll be happy!
