Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 4.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Antiquarian Thomasina Bateman is writing a book on the barrows of England, documenting the treasures she finds buried within. When an intriguing letter summons her to the small village of Bewlay, tucked away in the remote countryside, she sets off by train with her assistant a day behind.
Upon her arrival, however, the mysterious man who summoned her is nowhere to be found. Her assistant never arrives. A stubborn landowner refuses access to the barrow, and the locals are wary of this woman who is traveling alone and (gasp!) wears trousers.
The excavation of Hob’s Barrow is off to a rocky start. And then Thomasina starts having strange dreams…

A dark, complex and evolving storyline featuring interwoven elements from real English folklore.
Traditional point and click adventure game puzzles and interactions, with an easy modern interface.
A cast of intriguing characters, from suspicious villagers to sickly vicars to lordly landowners, all with their own unique stories and motives.
A distinct folk horror tone and grounding.
Evocative pixel-art graphics, featuring cut-scenes and engaging animations.
A suitably atmospheric original soundtrack from The Machine. The Demon. - one half of the duo behind the award-winning "Football Game" soundtrack.
Fiends in the furrows, the smell of damp soil, and a cat or two.

Thoroughly enjoyed this game! First and foremost I loved the atmospheric, drizzly moors and quirky small town interactions. As someone who loves folk-horror & archaeology & cozy puzzle gaming it was fully immersive. Liked the soundtrack and pixel art, it reminds me of adventure games from the 90s. Story was unique too, although puzzles can be simplistic in parts. Recommend!
I'm not a huge point'n'click adventure player, but Hob's Barrow immediately drew me in. The mood and atmosphere are immaculate and all set up mysteries have a fantastic payoff in the end.

A brilliant adventure game with stunning graphics and a fantastic soundtrack. The story is beautifully written and has a few surprises in store. It might be a bit too easy for fans of the genre. That said, it comes highly recommended to anyone who loves adventure games.
Another great Wadjeteye game! Not super long, but very atmospheric and the story is interesting. If you like point and click, especially creepy ones, this is for you.
Too linear for me. More running around than story and puzzles really
Very unique point and click folk horror game, with great voice acting. Definitely recommend.
Loved the game. I hope to find more games with a similar style.
Interesting slow-burn folk horror story, good voice acting, nostalgic pixel-art graphics.
yea
honestly, this game is just disrespectful of the player's time story: decent but come on pixel art: occasionally beautiful gameplay: utterly bad filler: oooooh boy it's plentiful if you haven't even heard of the CONCEPT of demons or folklore or the fae etc, maybe this spooky game would rattle your bones but wow was I disappointed literally come on, I can't believe you made me do so much pointless timewasting stuff, just to railroad a completely linear story that I could have just read as a blogpost or watched in a 30 min youtube video
