Developed by Shinji Mikami -- creator of the seminal Resident Evil series -- and the talented team at Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within embodies the meaning of pure survival horror. Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story are combined to create an immersive world that will bring you to the height of tension.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 9/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ABSOLUTE CINEMA 10/10

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I really loved this game. The Evil Within is arguably one of the best horror games I have played, mainly because of its atmosphere, story, and gameplay. The game constantly makes you feel like you are never safe, and I really liked how it mixes survival horror with action. The story can be confusing at times, but that honestly made me more interested in figuring out what was actually happening. The enemies and different areas were also really well designed, and there were a lot of moments that genuinely scared me. Overall, I really enjoyed my time with this game. It has its problems, but I still think The Evil Within is a great horror game and definitely one I would recommend.
The game has a few lighting issues, and the game itself is insanely tedious
打起来要比生化危机难,但恐怖氛围确实不错
The Evil Within sigue siendo un survival horror muy especial. Si logran conservar esa esencia, podria quedar increible.
The true evil is within.

I know it's pretty silly to be leaving this kind of review on a game that's over a decade old, but I need to shout into the void. Grabbed this game because I remember it being a part of the good old days, all-nighters at my friends house, Domino's and Mt Dew. But good God, is it a relic of the past. There's so many parts of this game that just make me want to do anything else with my time. - AWFUL checkpoints. I know older games, especially survival-horror types, can be intentionally punishing, but my God is that a terrible idea when it's so easy to die through no fault of your own. - It's so easy to be insta-killed, and in very unfair ways. Are there spinning blades overhead? Your character will find some damn reason to stand up for an action that he DOES NOT need to be standing to do. Boss enemy whittled down to the last bit of health? You bet they're going to pull out some complete BS they haven't done before and lock you into a lengthy death animation. - RNG. There isn't any stated RNG in the game, but I swear it's actually there, hiding under the surface just to screw you over. Sometimes, an explosive bolt you plant in the middle of a crowd will wipe the whole wave for you, and other times it doesn't even appear to do damage to the guy it was planted next to. Other times, regular-ass cannon-fodder enemies will decide that they, in fact, do not feel like dying after you put 12 gauge buckshot through their cranium at a point blank range. Occasionally, your character will simply not feel like it today, and take way longer to recover from minor damage than usual, leading to stun-locking and often death. And above everything else, the upgrades suck. There is nearly objectively no reason to take anything beyond health/stamina and weapon damage. Yea, the last couple upgrades in a path are pretty pricy so you'd be incentivized to buy cheaper, less useful upgrades, but honestly I never felt a difference after doing so. As a last little grief for me to give, I really don't know why the crossbow is in the game. Yes, I know it's nearly a necessity for several encounters, but it's presence is so damn out of place. All of the other weapons are standard firearms, no flash or flare, but them boom: the game gives you the "Agony Crossbow" with no real reason behind it's existence. It's so gamey, I have to wonder if it was a "the game needs to have X" command by the suits. I can get over it in the end, but it's so out of place that I feel silly every time I whip it out.
