Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I love this thing, even if I can recognise it has some flaws. The main thing to take away from this game is that it goes for different things than the first game did. For example, I didn't miss the "Grey" that defined the first games environments. This game does not try to recreate every aspect of the first, and I think that's a good thing.
The Good

The environments on display here are absolutely gorgeous, with great use of color, particularly early game.
This has some of the best enemy variety I've seen in survival horror, coming from a fan of RE since the first release in 1996.
The storytelling is a vast improvement over the first game, in that it's actually comprehensible this time.
The weapons in this have real heft and feel to them, they sound great and really kick.
Some good easter eggs. "But there's Evil Within, too!". The Small Crow that nobody seems to reliably know how to spawn.
Updates adding new difficulties and modes well after initial release. A nice touch that I wish more devs would implement.

The Bad

The enemy AI is easily outwitted, they're not very smart.
Pacing is off, loses steam as the game goes on, in numerous ways.
Some mechanics are a bit imbalanced, with stealth being particularly overpowered if you put skill points into it.
Sebastian can only sprint for three or so seconds before getting tired, an example of how they almost force the player to upgrade their character in certain ways.

The Ugly
Even with a Ryzen 5600X, an RTX3060 and 16GB RAM, sometimes this game drops frames. It doesn't run as well as it should, given that it's using an ID Software engine, I was expecting much better. A steady 72 FPS, with no option for 144FPS, if I recall correctly. Some game mechanics are tied to frame rate, meaning it runs best at 60FPS. In the words of one of the best protagonists of all time, "What a shame".

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Велика робота над помилками першої The Evil Within.
Last of us, Resident evil, Project Zomboid, Silent hill.
Terrible "open-world" segments, bad pacing, annoying looking for materials for the crafting. Having large open segments just made everything about this game worse than the first game in my experience.
i give this game a big thumbs up and an apple pie with cup of black coffee
The Evil Within 2 improves on its predecessor, with great TPS combat, solid stealth mechanics and better crafting and exploring zones. And, more importantly, the game answers all the questions from first game. 8.5 / 10 for me.
Worth it. 7.6/10 Everything about it - sans the story - is better than the first. Combat is good, aesthetic is fantastic, fights are fun, story is... a story. Note on Performance - I run a 5090 and 9950x3d, there was no need for this game to be utilizing as much of my CPU and GPU power as it did.
After playing the first one recently, I have to say this was a step down in many ways. It's biggest disappointment is that it tried so hard to gather is scraps of story from the first game and it's DLC to make this sequel, but in doing so, it exposited things so it "made sense," such that, if you think about it, everything that's going on become nonsense via deus ex machina, apparent obliviousness, and hand waving. There are also logical holes in the world building that do not line up with the setting (if you think about it), but that pales in comparison to how weak the story and pacing was; you can see most of it coming from a mile away. Also, doesn't help that the characterization fell apart as well. The game doesn't feel as tight. In EW1, you beat your way through a situation (often looking like you went through a meat grinder), only to stumble into some other BS scenario, and after a while you just get used to fighting through the madness that just kept coming. I believe it could do this because it was highly scripted and pulled out new stuff often, it kept you engaged. Also, even on normal, both you and the badies do a ton of damage, so good play often led to tense, but satisfying action. Yes, the base story made very little coherent sense, but per the subject matter, maybe that makes sense in a weird way??? In EW2, you are just trundling along, fight some guys, exposition, go here, go there; it feels like token effort was made to make something coherent. I was rolling my eyes or "going through the motions" very often. Most of the time its the same enemies, maybe reskinned, encounters aren't anywhere near as tense most of the time (and usually way easier). Also, even fully upgraded, you feel like you have about the same amount of room clearing capability as when you started. Even with the black bars, EW1 felt and looked good, which is crazy, because it came out 12 years ago. EW2 felt generic in most regards, and looked kinda bland; the vibe wasn't setup right. Not a terrible game, but it felt tedious and unfulfilling compared to the first.
